Hi all….

Goddess saraswati is one of the 3 prime devis who is the consort

of brahma…the creator. She is the vidhyadidevate…the goddess of

learning, vagdevathe…the goddess of speech, medhadevi….the goddess of

intellect…..In the Hindu culture praying to goddess saraswati is very

important as she is the goddess who gives knowledge, speech and

thinking power. Let us all pray to the goddess to bless us with the

divine knowledge which will lead us towards salvation………

Yaa Kundendu tushaara haaradhavalaa, Yaa shubhravastraavritha|

Yaa veenavara dandamanditakara, Yaa shwetha padmaasana||

Yaa brahmaachyutha shankara prabhritibhir Devaisadaa Vanditha|

Saa Maam Paatu Saraswatee Bhagavatee Nihshesha jaadyaapahaa||

 

May Goddess Saraswati, who is fair like the jasmine-colored moon, and

whose pure white garland is like frosty dew drops; who is adorned in

radiant white attire, on whose beautiful arm rests the veena, and

whose throne is a white lotus; who is surrounded and respected by the

Gods, protect me. May you fully remove my lethargy, sluggishness, and

ignorance.

Oh! Goddess Saraswati, my humble prostrations unto Thee, who is the

fulfiller of all wishes. I start my studies with Thy worship and

always pray for success.
