Guest guest
Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I will admit that my kundalini is not yet activated. I have had some experiences that might be related to it, but I think a lot of people- more than not, probably- have some of these K-related experiences at least once in their lifetimes, although their K is not activated. That is, I believe, the case with me. Yet, I would like to activate my K. I have read enough about it to know that there can be some unpleasant (to say the least) side effects when activating K- even temporary " psychosis. " At the moment, I feel that I am willing to accept the risks and deal with what comes, for the chance to awaken my kundalini and have it rise. A lot of things require struggles to obtain, but that doesn't mean they are not worth the battle. Unfortunately, I do not have a guru. I have looked online for a place where I might find someone locally (offline), to ask for help, but the closest I can find anyone is about 3 and a half hours to 4 hours away. I cannot make regualr trips of that distance, unless it is to my sister's house. She lives about 3 hours away and I do visit her ocassionally. However, none of the teachers/guides I have found are in her area. I know it is advised to have a guru to help determine if you are ready, and to help you activate the K and guide you through the experience. I have wanted this for awhile. I know some people say that when you are ready, the teacher will find you, but sometimes I think we need to seek the teacher for ourselves. I am still looking. If all else fails, I might try to find some way to go the extra distance to find one. It will be difficult at the moment, though, because I don't currently have my own vehicle. Plus, I'd rather have a more local guru, so that I don't have to burn so much gas getting there (environmental concern mostly, but also- I don't have the cash to spend so much on gas, at the moment). I was reading on one of the posts here that one should pray for K to be awakened and surrender to that rather than actively seeking it out. I have thought about trying that, actually, and have asked for some similar things (more compassion for instance), but I am still not certain that seeking out K is wrong. Sometimes, I think we are expected to put forth effort of our own, but of course, I suppose prayer might be considered effort. I hope I am still welcome to be here. I feel that I am serious about this matter. I am continuing to search for a guru, and am thinking about trying to pray for kundalini, as well. I may also pray to ask for a guru. I would like to discuss matters concerning kundalini here, learn from the experiences of others, ask relevant questions, and when I find my guru, if my K is activated (OR if prayer activates it, or it finds me) I would like someone to share my experience with. Thanks for having me. I wish you all well in your journey. ~Phantom~
Guest guest
Welcome to our Family, Phantom. Guest guest
Hello Phantom, You are most welcome here. In my humble opinion the best Guru you will ever find is right behind your own eyes. You are correct in that it takes some effort and diligence to come into the Kundalini. And wanting Kundalini and having Kundalini are two very different platforms of experience. Wanting it is helpful as it allows one to embrace the experience with all of its bells and whistles (flutes) lol. Welcome to the group phantom and is this the name you wish to go by? -
Guest guest
Hi dhyana! Thanks for the welcome. *smiles* And thanks for the warm hug. *Warm hugs back to you* I wasn't sure if most of the people joining here were already activated or not. It makes me feel better to know I am not the only one who joined before being activated. I am glad you have found what you need here, and I hope I can find it, as well. It is nice to have met you and I look forward to getting to know you. Guest guest
Hi Chrism! I'm glad to know that I'm welcome here, and I look forward to getting to know you and everyone else in the group. I guess it is a good thing to want to have the kundalini awakened, since, perhaps, wanting it will make it somewhat easier to deal with the negative things that might arise. I am not looking forward to the negative side effects that might pop up, but I am looking forward to having the blocks healed, and I know that many think that is where the pain comes from. I once heard someone say of a certain issue, " You have to feel it, to heal it, " and I think that is often true. It is nice to know that you welcome people wanting to awaken the kundalini here. I have met people who have warned me not to do it, and I was hoping this group would be open to my trying to activate it. As for my name, I do not mind if you call me Phantom, Mermaid, Phantom Mermaid or PM. I'm not very picky. I just figure it is easier to type one part of the name (or abbreviate) instead of typing the entire thing, so I just used Phantom, but I would respond to any variation. Blessings to you, as well. ~Phantom~ , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Hello Phantom, > You are most welcome here. In my humble opinion the > best Guru you will ever find is right behind your own eyes. Guest guest
Hello, I do hope you'll share your first name with us eventually, we are an intimate family here and you will soon feel safe and very much at home. You said something very interesting here: " I know some people say that when you are ready, the teacher will find you, but sometimes I think we need to seek the teacher for ourselves. " IMHO, we need to seek the teacher INSIDE ourselves...everything you need to activate is inside of you. The tools you need for a safe and gentle activation are here on this site (The Safeties, The Tibetans), and all of the companionship and support you may need along the way are here in these kind and loving group members. is a wonderful 'guide' in the sense that he has 'been there' before us and can help to steer us around/through any possible pitfalls and issues we may encounter along the way. So, relax, familiarize yourself with and begin to practice the Safeties, and read and post so that you may begin to get to know us and we you!! Guest guest
Hi Phantom - I want you to know that all the fears I was experiencing during my activation was ignorance based. I didn't know what was happening to me, it just was. I didn't have anyone to talk to about it, my husband didn't know what Kundalini was either. He thought it was all in my head, as in I was becoming mental. You have an opportunity to educate yourself prior to an activation, which is a blessing on its own. I wish I knew what Kundalini was before I activated, I would of not had been in such fear. To me it has become an important part of my life, at first and of course based on fear, I wished it never occurred. As days passed and guided me into the understanding that it's not a curse but a blessing, I began to let go of my immense fear and began to experience the birth of me the welcoming of a new beginning. I am very happy I did. I had no physical pain, none, ever. I feel sensations that at first were scary because I never had them before but now as I surrender to them they are quite pleasurable and they fill me with bliss. I tend to dive into these sensations, allowing them to take its wonderful course. I meditate each day and each time I am left with this wonderful energy flow that it's indescribable, it fills my heart with Love and a desire to share this Love and understanding with everyone. If you hold on to the fear of pain or any fear for that matter it won't be productive, if Kundalini is what you want to experience then allow your heart to embrace it, do it lovingly and follow the safeties it's very important. Chrism is the best thing that has happened to me during this period of my life, he is a great teacher, wouldn't trade him for anyone. Guest guest
Hi Becky! It is a relief to know that most of your fear stemmed from not knowing what was going on, because that means that I may not be as afraid, since I will know what is occuring. I can understand why you were confused and I'm sorry that you were afraid, but at least you don't have to feel that way anymore. *smiles* Thank you for telling me that the fear is mostly ignorance based. I will try to educate myself as much as possible about Kundalini symptoms. Did your husband ever come around to understanding what was going on? I hope so. I am worried that if my K is activated, people will think I am crazy, but I think most people suspect me of being a little off, anyway. *laughs* I am glad there was no physical pain involved. I'm also glad for you, that you found chrism, that you now know what is going on, and that you enjoy your K. I will try to follow your advice and let go and accept the K when and if, I am blessed to recieve K activation. Thank you for helping me to better understand the experience of recieving K. I think that I have heard too many horror stories from people and have gotten the wrong idea about what one has to go through to have their K activated and awakened. It is nice to be in a group that focuses on the positive side of K. The love and understanding you mention being filled with, and your desire to share it with everyone- that is what draws me to wanting my K activated. It sounds so beautiful. *smiles* Love and Light, Phantom , Becky Jean Rich <beckyjeanrich wrote: > > Hi Phantom - > I want you to know that all the fears I was experiencing during my activation was ignorance based. Guest guest
Dearest Phantom - I am glad to hear from you. This is a safe place, the wonderful, loving energies flow in every stroke of a keyboard, world wide. is always here for us. Open your heart allow the love to flow in and out onto the world. Look at all situations with love and fear dissipates, there's just no room for fear when love is present. Trust. When I was out in the " world " among people I was openly judged as being " too lovey dovey " . They have gotten to a point that they are used to me, the way I am and accepted it. They expect, now at first sight, to be hugged and kissed by me. If I had cared one bit what they had to say I would of not been loving them, for allowing them to have their opinions opened the door to acceptance. So? Who cares if people suspect you of being a little off? Diversity is wonderful, embrace it. Laughing helps too, I am laughing all the time. With much love, Becky phantom_mermaid_82 <phantom_mermaid_82 wrote: Hi Becky!
