Guest guest
prasadkrn: This is exactly the opposite of how I look at things: Sadness--Makes the Joy much sweeter. " Bad things " --are what makes the good more enjoyable. (Plus, lessons in life are learned during " hard times " --so then they aren't really " Bad " anyomore!) People leave by death or by choice, enjoy them while they are here-- say hello again on the otherside (or ask for them to " visit " from there). Live in Hope....or live for the Now? The present moment. It is the only True Moment in your Life. Right Now. Why waste your time trying to live for the future (Hope). You can live the Future when it becomes " Now " . If your mind is on the Future all the time, you miss " Now " , the only moment there is! Sounds like you may be in a self induced " bad " moment. Learn from it--accept it---and Live! This works for me! :) Stephen , " prasadkrn " <prasadkrn83 wrote: > > Hi all.... > I was not find a more suitable and satisfactory answer in my > life.....though more learned people here may help me out.......would > any one?? > > Why does happiness come into ones life.... > .......Is it to leave us and show I am worth of only sadness?? > > Why does good things come to us..... > ........Is it to tell us I am no good to have any more goodness in my > life?? > > Why does some one come into our life.... > .......Is it to leave to show that i am not worth enough to ask for > them??? > > Why does the heart do not stop hoping again and again.... > ....Is it to prove that i shall never be able to get what i ask for..... > > Why does......??? >
Guest guest
Hey! Just when I needed it- This popped up in my e-mail: Zen practice is the practice of honoring and making friends with all of ourselves, all of life, including our suffering. A famous saying in Zen is: " To separate what we like from what we dislike is the disease of mind. " ~ Sosan This teaches that we do not reject one part of ourselves or our experience. We do not say this experience is good and that one is bad, I hate this and love that. I will seek this and turn away from that. This very way of life itself is the illness. It causes us to split both from ourselves and our lives. Excerpted from: Zen Miracles: The Whole World is Medicine. by Brenda Shoshanna, PhD. :) Stephen , " Stephen AKA Master Condrey " <stephencondrey wrote: > > prasadkrn: > > This is exactly the opposite of how I look at things: > > Sadness--Makes the Joy much sweeter. > > " Bad things " --are what makes the good more enjoyable. > (Plus, lessons in life are learned during " hard times " --so then they > aren't really " Bad " anyomore!) > > People leave by death or by choice, enjoy them while they are here-- > say hello again on the otherside (or ask for them to " visit " from > there). > > Live in Hope....or live for the Now? Guest guest
Hi prasadkrn, I was nudged to respond to you so here goes! lol! All imho... Happiness and joy is our natural state of being. It doesn't come into our lives, we move away from it. It is like the sun shining, and clouds come and block it from our experience. What are the clouds in your life? There are no good things and bad things, just the classroom where we learn. When we judge if something is good or bad we can miss the lesson because then we're not seeing clearly but projecting on it. People come into our lives for many reasons. They come and go. We learn about life from them, about ourselves, we are given opportunities to go beyond our selfishnesses and listen to the heartbeat of others, joining with them in the dance, or dealing with things we don't like about ourselves which we can see in them. Why are you so down on yourself, dear friend? You are a child of the Universe...you have a right to be here. Read up on Chakra One in the File Section. =] Warm hugs and love, dhyana --- prasadkrn <prasadkrn83 wrote: > Hi all.... > I was not find a more suitable and satisfactory > answer in my > life.....though more learned people here may help me > out.......would > any one?? > > Why does happiness come into ones life.... > .......Is it to leave us and show I am worth of only > sadness?? > > Why does good things come to us..... > ........Is it to tell us I am no good to have any > more goodness in my > life?? > > Why does some one come into our life.... > .......Is it to leave to show that i am not worth > enough to ask for > them??? > > Why does the heart do not stop hoping again and > again.... > ....Is it to prove that i shall never be able to get > what i ask for..... > > Why does......??? > > > > ______________________________\ ____ Boardwalk for $500? Guest guest
Prasad, I got this email after I read your post and thought it might be suitable to post in response to your question. I hope it helps you understand. See email pasted below. Love, Katherine God's Cake Sometimes we wonder, " What did I do to deserve this? " or " Why did God have to do this to me? " Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away. Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, " Absolutely Mom, I love your cake. " " Here, have some cooking oil, " her Mother offers. " Yuck " says her daughter. " How about a couple raw eggs? " " Gross, Mom! " " Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda? " " Mom, those are all yucky! " To which the mother replies: " Yes, all those things seem bad all by them selves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful! God is crazy about you. H e sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart. If you like this, send this on to the people you really care about. I did. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. prasadkrn <prasadkrn83 Friday, September 7, 2007 1:41:33 PM Why does....... Hi all.... Guest guest
hi prasad the nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed. In the proper discharge of duty, one has to learn to tolerate nonpermanent appearances and disappearances of happiness and distress. , " prasadkrn " <prasadkrn83 wrote: > > Hi all.... >
Guest guest
These qualities come into our lives to help us learn by the difference in the experience of having a certain quality or its opposite and everything in between. These are lessons! Not personal condemnations or attacks. The experience of the good and the bad is a school of opposites and self determination. Regardless of what occurs to a person the choice of optimism is always there to have or let go. Sometimes the person needs to be stressed to reach areas of refinement undiscovered until that stress has occured. Kundalini is good for this LOL! -
