The smallest thing that would appear tome I would jump at. People were afraid to mention things to me becauseI would be all over them. Ah, those were the young days!As I grew in being a Servant opportunities would come that would showme things that were in no way what I wanted to do. I didn't recognizethem as opportunities at first. I just saw them as awful, and wouldrun in the other direction! After a while I began to feel deep pangsof " conscience " when I would pass by these " opportunities. " Irecognized I was being called to do these things that were sodistasteful to me. In finally surrendering to them I began to see thatthese were the real acts of service because I was going beyond myselfin what I was willing to give to another. Then the opportunities would become very subtle, and easily missed. And if I missed them a deep ache would begin in my heart. Sometimes Ihad to cry to release it, and promise myself that I would do better. Ifound that my heart was really becoming a part of this, in fact it wasleading me. It would see things that my eye couldn't. And so I beganto listen to it more instead of going by sight. The Service bagan todeal with issues of the human heart, as well as physical needs. Ilearned when a hug was needed, or a touch, a word, a look...nothing more. I found Service becoming a state of being " available', no matter whatthe situation was. The other was the focus, and what was revealed todo. It felt like being a glove on the hand of the Divine. I no longer go looking for things, they come to me. The present momentis a split second, and so much can be missed if the attention iselsewhere. In being a Servant I've learned how loving God is, and howmuch that Love wants to move into the world. How much the tiniest needis noticed, and cared about. So, the more we become available, themore Love can enter the world. With each act of Service we addmomentum to the River. Nothing is too small. Thanks for listening. Love and hugs, dhyana ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ > News, entertainment and everything you care about at Live.com.
