The Strangest Thing

I have my dad's picture sitting on my desk where my computer is,

during the latter part of the night I keep being drawn to it because

I kept seeing movement either in it or around it and I had a sense of

a presence lurking. It didn't bother me at all, I just assumed that

it was him letting me know that he was with me. I had been working on

some things having to do with my nonprofit organization and listening

to some videos. It seemed that who ever was with me followed me

around the house and when I went to bed it was no different, I felt a

presence with me. Apparently I fell asleep and was dreaming when I

was awakened by a hand being placed on my shoulder. I know that it

wasn't my husband because he wasn't here last night because he had

duty. When I was awakened it startled me at first and I could feel

someone looking at me from behind. I didn't turn over to see because

at first I was startled by it and then I thought to myself it is only

my dad, more for the sake of comfort to me. I could still feel where

the hand was on my shoulder and couldn't distinguish whether it was a

real touch or a touch in my dream. I had fallen asleep talking with

God so I don't know if it had anything to do with that. Anyway, I

thought I would post to get your opinions on the matter.

How sweet, Katherine,

Sometimes it seems, that if the lower self sees or feels it first, the

mind will begin to panic. When the 'higher me' sees or feels a non physical

presence, my mind remains at peace, and I am not afraid. I guess the key it to

have the higher awareness and the lower awareness on the same page.

I usually experience this as I'm praying and meditating and performing the

Tibetans- alternately. I guess that's a big reason why it's so important to

follow the safeties- cause you never know when you'll need your whole awareness,

to

keep away the fear. Did you sense your Dad's vibes at all? Other than the

picture:) I have felt the touch of a friend, who went out of body to see me.

So I truly believe it was your dad's real touch.

So weird Kat, My dear friend John was dying and a

couple nights back in a dream his husband (gay couple)

came to tell me he had passed over. The next night I

dreamt I'm in a changing room and a ghost taps me on

the shoulder, I really felt it.

I think it was John letting me know he was there and

that he is well.

 

Weird how they like to lay a hand on the shoulder.

 

I think it's your Dad coming to say hi and let you

know he is with you.

Tara, I believe it startled me because I was asleep and when I was awakened I

knew it wasn't my husband because he was here and so knowing that and still

being able to feel the spot on my shoulder where the hand was placed took me

back for a few seconds and then I just told myself it was my dad and I felt

peace. I don't know if it was him nor did I feel his presence at the time, but

earlier I felt the presence of someone and sort of knew it might be him. At that

time it didn't bother me, only being awaken by the touch did, at first at least.

I was dreaming about my project and I was helping those who had come for help.

As for the safeties you are right, had it been a long time back it would

probably have scared the tar out of me, but fortunately I was able to realize I

was safe and in no danger and regain a sense of comfort and peace. I can still

feel where the touch was on my right shoulder. Actually pretty cool now whether

it happened in my dream or in

reality! Thanks my dear sister!

Dear Kat, I feel strongly that it is your dad visiting

you. You sensed that he was around earlier in the

evening...I wonder why you didn't take advantage of

the opportunity to communicate with him? If he comes

to you again in the night, speak to him...I know you

miss him terribly, and I believe that now that you are

opening so much spiritually it may be more conducive

to him 'getting through' to you...I'm sure he will try

again, so try speaking to him during meditation and

before you go to sleep...invite him to come to you and

be ready when he does.

 

I have had 2 dreams recently (2 days apart) of my dead

nephew, Kenny...in both, he appeared as a little boy,

once as a boy of about 6 or 7 and the other time as a

toddler. It was so wonderful to be able to interact

with his sweet soul again!!

Hey Claudia,

 

Earlier last night when I first started having the movement near his picture I

thought I was imagining it, but then after a while I said " Hey daddy, how are

you! I love you and miss you so much! " and that is pretty much all I said, the

movements happened a few more times. Then as I was going up the steps to go to

bed I could feel someone following me, it happened the night before as well!

Almost as if they were so close about to step on my feet. I felt like they could

ride my back they were so close. Anyway, all the way through brushing my teeth,

my hair, and washing my face I felt not being alone. It didn't bother me, I just

said hello! What can I do for you? and went about my business. When I went

drifted off to sleep last night I was talking to God, which I do a lot after my

prayer. Anyway, I will indeed talk to him and encourage his communication. My

left ear is now beginning to do what my right ear was and still is doing! Pretty

cool huh! Maybe soon

I can hear him and my mom! I believe the reason I didn't when I was awakened

was because I was startled by the existence of a hand being on my shoulder and

no one should have been there. I think the reason I told myself at that time it

was my dad was for the sake of comfort to myself because I could feel someone

very close and looking at me and I knew it was not my husband or my children. If

it happens again I will speak to him, and I hope it is soon. Giggles! Thanks

Claudia! I have only dreamed of my dad being in my dream, but I didn't see him I

only knew that he was there and that was a few months ago! I am so happy that

you are being able to communicate with Kenny! That is great because you know

that even when they are gone, they aren't. Way to go Claud!
