Guest guest
Hi, Deb! What is experienced during Shaktipat varies widely...for example, I experienced a few sensations during my first Shaktipat whereas Leslie and Sarita experienced quite a bit. It is supposed to correlate directly with the strength and regularity of your practice...but I feel that there may be other dynamics in play as well (for example, Sarita's K had actually activated when she was 19, but she did not become actively involved in focusing on it until she joined this group). Regardless, it IS very exciting as your move towards your first Shaktipat! This will be my second and I am perhaps even more excited than I was the first time! My understanding of the K and the Practice and service, etc. has deepened, so my anticipation has taken on a different 'hue,' so to speak. In addition, the ritual of the Shaktipat is, in itself, quite beautiful and reverent, in my mind. I hope you have a wonderful Shaktipat, Deb! I hope we all do... Blessings & love, Claudia P.S. Sarita and Leslie, I hope you don't mind my using you as examples! --- flowerpowers7777 <flowerpowers7777 wrote: > Hi Tara and and all, > Yes I'm really excited about my first shaktipat. Guest guest
Hi Deb, My first shaktipat I felt nothing energetic, but I did feel excited....smiles* It's best not to have any expectations and just let it flow. It took at least three months before I " felt " anything at all, a lot of unblocking needed to happen to allow me to sense the energy. It is unique for everyone. The dreams are what I would look out for, keep a journal as shakti loves to communicate during shaktipat with some great dream symbols. I can't wait to hear of your own personal adventure as it unfolds. Love Elektra x x x _________ Want ideas for reducing your carbon footprint? Guest guest
Hi Elektra, Thanks on the advice of keeping a journal. I'm good at remembering my dreams, but not so good at figuring out what they mean. Maybe keeping a journal will help me over time make sense of them. I remember reading you have a sensitive stomach. Me too. Hoping with the K this will get better and not worse. I've done every imaginable diet. My stomach seems to do better when eating more protein, especially meat. But I feel bad about eating an animal. I know mentioned that sometimes K will require a change. I was kinda hoping I would do better with the grains, but so far my body is not having it. I seem to do well with lean meat and veggies and maybe some berries, and a few nuts. Kinda boring, huh? Have you noticed a change in your diet with K? Hey maybe K will decide on Choc Cake! I will just have to break down and go with the flow! (: Thanks for the help; and by the way I've loved reading your posts while in lurkville! This really is a great group of people. Guest guest
Hi Claudia, Thanks for the good wishes! The last week I've been waking up at about 3-3:30am almost every night experiencing some hot energy going up through my feet and hands. Also I've had a lot of ear and mouth work! I don't think my dentist ever worked so hard! (: Its all been very gentle though, not like ten yrs ago when I didnt know what was going on. SO this is your second! Well congrats! Hope your experience is beautiful and I look forward to hearing about it! Keep us updated! Your posts help so much! Thanks again, Deb ______________________ ____________ >
Guest guest
Hi Deb, I used to see my digestive sensitivity as an illness, but now I realise it's a blessing, God made me this way so I would know what my body needed to be optimum. It's hard to live on minimum food as we live in a society that loves to over endulge in things that are not natural or healthy but taste GOOD!!! I am good if I eat like you, we share the same needs. I cannot eat chocolate cake ever, I doubt I will ever be able to, but I can make a home made one thats healthy or eat a vegan raw food one. Yummy. When I go off my healthy eating and endulge I feel awful. I like to feel good so I'm forced to eat what the divine wants me to. I love it!!! God is clever and I am grateful for my sensitivities. Good luck with everything, glad you are out of lurkesville Love and hugs Elektra x x x _________ Want ideas for reducing your carbon footprint?
