Dearest Stephen - My father (Whose family is from Denmark, weird combo) was a department of defense Civilian Engineer Contractor for the Navy Base in Rota, Spain. He met my mother (full blooded Spanish, first generation to marry outside of the culture since the Moors invaded Spain). He gave me the name Rebecca Jean aka Becky. My husband's last name is Rich. My real name is.......... .. Maria Rebecca Jean Jorgensen Giraldez of Rich....ha ha ha! Becky Jean can easily be a USA Southern girl's name? Lots of Love, Maria Rebecca Jean Jorgensen Giraldez of Rich Master Condrey <stephencondrey@ alltel.net> wrote: Thanks for sharing, Becky! May I ask...how'd a girl named Becky Jean Rich end up in Spain? The name doesn't sound Spanish . Great photo! I am going to talk to my husband, he has a camcorder, see if and when we can do this! Stay tuned, love to you Becky Claudia Lambright <newtfoodbowl@ > wrote: Do you know anyone with a camcorder??? You could have them tape you dancing the Flamenco and then upload it to YouTube or Google videos!! THEN we could see you dance the Flamenco!! Just a thought, Claudia Becky Jean Rich <beckyjeanrich@ > wrote: Dearest Wonderful Group - Thank you so much for your wonderful words. I have been dancing Flamenco and Sevillanas since I was able to walk. It's an ingrate part of living in Spain, every little girl and most boys learn it from their family. Each style corresponding to their own interpretation yet staying the same within the heart of the dance. When I dance Flamenco, my entire being is dancing in the clouds. Though I am tapping my heals hard I feel light and happy, very very happy. Sorry, Chrism, no castanets when dancing the more earthy Flamenco. The hands are moved by passion of the song, as it interprets the words of the " Cantor " or singer. So much passion in Flamenco. In the picture I was dancing as a gift to my girlfriend and her husband, they both turned 50 and she asked me if I would do it at their party. My heart was filled with Love, what an honor for me to do it. It was a moving experience, specially when many people attending had never seen it " live " . By the way, the tiers of material on the skirt are called " volante " which comes from the word " volar " or to fly. When I make a strong turn the entire dress " flies " lifting up and showing all the wonderful colors underneath. OLE. Much Love to you all, wish we could all be in one place where I'd dance for all of you. Becky tara jacoby <tjmassage7777@ > wrote: Wow..how beautiful you are, Becky.
