A poem by Dorothy Walters, for all of you...

The Moment Which Changes Everything

By now, we all know it

by heart. . .

that scientific tale of the

reputed cat in its theoretical box

which could be anything--

black or spotted,

here or there,

alive or dead,

until someone popped

off the lid and

peered inside,

and--voila!--there she was--

a real cat

in all of her feline glory

snowball or tiger,

prancing bronze or calico,

already purring

and dancing for food.

Think about your life.

How one day,

after so much constant repetition

of the weary familiar,

the unexpected happens,

something you had never

dreamed of

nor factored into your

equation,

something strange and startling

which takes over and becomes

the leitmotif of your life,

the Dominant Theme,

all possibilities collapsed

into a single

grain of expectation.

Everything thereafter

is colored by its hue.

This is called

" the moment which changes

everything. "

That was so beautiful, Becky.

Thanks so much for sharing.

It allows one to take a real good look

at what's changing in their life.

All the little changing ways, that they maybe were too busy to notice before.

It allows one to see the beauty in change, and just embrace it.

It takes the fear out of leaving our old skin behind, as we begin to shed

and rid ourselves of a meaningless routine, and grow a brand new color.

One which is accommodating for our new path.

I feel as though it speaks to me about leaving my old self behind, and

not being afraid to let go. The thought of that act, reminds me of the

video for the song Sweet Surrender, by Sarah Mclauchlan.

In the video, she is watching as her old self is departing from the new.

She is singing " It doesn't mean much, it doesn't mean anything at all. That life

I left behind me, was a cold one. "

Thanks, Becky.

With love and blessings,

Tara
