Guest guest
Hello Friends - Yes, I have been practicing the safeties and yes, I have worked on my forgiveness issues. I have done the recapitulation series where I have gone through almost, if not ~everything~ I can think of. I still find myself somewhat perturbed and I'm not sure why. Surely I should be in a state of equanimity by now! Has anyone else had lingering " stuff " like this? Maybe I'm just nervous; I'm not sure. Guest guest
I believe that as you continue to practice the forgiveness every day, and you should do it every day, you will find that forgiveness issues you have forgotten about will surface...I have. Did you see Dhyana's suggested exercise for forgiveness? It was wonderful...since I read that, I am using that exercise...basically, it involves meditating and asking anyone you need to forgive to appear before you in your mind...I just think it's an excellent way to dredge up the dregs...the stuff that may have fallen between the cracks. Look back through the old post on the website and find that post...it was titled 'forgiveness' I think. If you have trouble, let me know and I'll find it and forward it to you. Or perhaps Dhyana will be so kind as to restate it for you... Bottom line: keep practicing forgiveness every day and eventually everything you need to forgive will surface, you will deal with it, and the 'nagging perturbation' will be replaced by a feeling of peace and freedom. Guest guest
Hello Melissa, another thing to consider is that as people come to mind and forgiveness is given, there still may be some emotional stuff that needs to surface and be released in regard to them. You may find yourself feeling more than " perturbed " as the process continues. It may even feel like a real emotional roller coaster with feelings of " I'm not sure why " I'm feeling this way... Not that this will absolutely happen to you, but it can. Its a way of balancing. Just allow yourself to feel what you're feeling, remembering that its surfacing in order to leave. Up and out! Wave good-by to it as it moves in you, and rejoice that you will be completely free of it! If you don't understand this part of it, the emotions can be really overwhelming. Shakti is cleaning house. She's really good at it! It doesn't feel very good while its happening, but you will be much lighter when it passes! Hope that helps. Warm hugs.
