Guest guest Posted September 20, 2007 Report Share Posted September 20, 2007 Dear All, My husband and I were discussing my theory on the ego today and how we will never have a divine government until we each learn to live by the higherself as the government is just a representation of the group syche/ego. As long as we are individually ruled by the ego, so our system of rule will reflect that by being ego driven also. And so, we got into a discussion about if the time comes and an aggressor is at your door trying to attack you and your loved ones, or put you in jail unlawfully, or take away your freedom in some way should you fight back? When on a spiritual path of service is it still ok to defend yourself or should you just submit? Should you protect when need be or allow the aggressor attack you or your loved ones? In my utopia we all reach an egoless state before the state runs a muck!!! so we don't need to face such things, but spiritually it's a quandry? What are your thoughts? Defend or surrender?
