Guest guest
Hello Stephen, I am only suggesting that there is more then just " one " way of experiencing this and I do also include the slow gradual development of awareness as another option that many take. It's just not the only option! What would have happened " if " we did anything different we cannot really rely on as that path wasn't taken. But you did have to be the person you were at that time. A person ready to experience what you experienced. So in that sense your entire life was a preparation for that development. In the stream of expressed consciousness there is gradual acquisition of awareness which will depend on ones own understanding of temporal dynamics or the understanding of time. I am only trying to place it with in the linear equation many use at this time as a measurement of progress. Betsy has a habit of writing in an absolutist format. " It is this way. " or " It must be that way " or " There is no other way " and I do not want people to feel locked in to a format because someone said so in an authoritative manner. She is having her experience and it is at the same time unique to her and common to others. Lots of folks get kriyas doesn't mean that you MUST get them to have an awakening. Or for an experience to be authentic. Same goes for the idea that surrender, or awakening, or awareness is done " this way " and if you don't do it that way then it isn't authentic. There are other ways to achieve the same goals. And we practice many of them here. - my take on it - chrism
Guest guest
Talking as someone who had a spontaneous awakening, I can agree with you Chrism, I had no faith, did not believe in God, yet I had a revelation / vision and in one afternoon my whole life was changed. I was a drug addict at the time also, not clean living at all. The only thing I practised was unconditional love and forgiveness (without really knowing they were deamed as a practice!!) I was just trying to be a good person. That was quite spontaneous and earth changing for me. I also had a spontaneous energetic event when I returned from Lhasa, my whole body turned to light and I felt surrender and felt the egoless state, like I was going to ascend , it came out of no where, and I've never had it since. I had just smoked a spliff also but that didnt stop it. Not many rules there to follow...ha ha ha Love Elektra x x x _________ Want ideas for reducing your carbon footprint?
