Guest guest
Sarita, I agree with you on all accounts. I have to say though that I feel you are ready to surrender to the dismemberment and that you will do it graciously. I myself am ready, but as you it is not because I desire the experience, but know that it is a part of the growth process and is a necessary part at that. As for the girl, it is like that one girl at that university that stood up for her beliefs in God and was shot. I can't remember the university, but it was where the guy goes into I believe the library where students were and he asks who believes in God while he pointed a gun and the girl stood up and said she did. I know without reservation that she would probably be shot and she was. I believe that the Amish knew somehow that it was inevitable that they would all die and she as Sarita said could have done it for many reasons, but I guess she felt she needed to do it for her own sake, she couldn't bare what would come next. Didn't he rape some of the girls? I can't remember all of the circumstances now, but isn't that what happened? Anyway, we all do things that would surprise ourselves and frankly I am not sure how I would react, but I think I wouldn't ask to be shot, I would beg to not be shot instead. I guess it could also depend on where we stand spiritually, where we are on our path, and if we are spiritually ready to face any endeavor that we are confronted with including encouraging the BIG BLACK dog to devour us to move forward to where we want to be. Maybe she wanted to give the others longer in hopes they might be rescued, maybe she couldn't bear to watch the others die before her. As far as the dismemberment experiences go, I feel like I am beginning to warm up to it. Not to say I am looking forward to it, but I am starting to understand the necessity of it. Our bodies need to be made into a vehicle that can sustain the Kundalini and therefore need to be " rearranged " . I look forward to this only because I know what it will mean, not because I desire the experience. When it comes my way again, I hope I will be ready and able to surrender. I hope I will be cognizant enough to know what is happening instead of panicking. I also feel that the ego will try it's damndest to make sure we DON'T surrender to the experience. The ego is fighting to live, to rule over us and doesn't want to make room for another master. I don't know if this exactly helped with what you were asking, but I hope it was useful in some way.
