What If?

 

What if although my hurry, I held the door for you?

Would you feel a little a little love?

Would you forget for a moment, the coldness of this world?

Would you strive to show a little kindness to those around you, as well?

What if I offer you my spare change, when you're in a bind?

Will you do the same, for someone else at another point in time?

What if I make a conscious effort, to show my warm smile to you.

It looks as though you've been having a rough day.

Looking at your eyes, I can feel what you've been going through.

Let me lighten your heart a bit, and take your anxiety away.

Will you allow yourself to feel a little lighter, although the ciaos?

Will you smile just the same, to someone else?

What if I offer a bit of humor, when I see tears welling in your eyes?

Will you let me ease your pain a little?

Will you do the same for others, when they look like they might cry?

This world has grown cold, and we've become acclimated.

Over the years, we've begun to mold ourselves to its cold hearted standard.

Let's all strive to smile at one more person, along our way.

Let's plan to offer a little change, to the person in line, who's out.

What a wonderful world it would be, it we all showed we cared..just a bit.

We'd all feel a just a little more love and fellowship.

From that, we'd feel a deeper sense of self love.

We wouldn't view this big world, as so big any longer.

We'd feel much more connected to one another.

Let's experiment for a while, and examine the results.

We'll gage the way a little love, can brighten

the lives, of even the most rushed and weary adults.
