On the note of keeping your home/area charged with good energy that will prevent attracting entities -- There is a great lady named Karen Kingston who has a book out on energy clearing and is offering classes on it, she has a website with some great information on it all and a few good tips on charging your home with good energy.... Something to help in clearing negativity energy out -- you can also purchase bundles of white dessert sage, I bought mine online -- and you can do what is called a " smudging " which is a Native American ritual. I have found this very effective in clearing out negative energy that is from people but not usually that effective with entities for me. When you do the smudging you need to light the bundle but have a glass or ceramic dish underneath as there is little fly away parts that come off, also start and go clockwise around the room and do not blow on it to keep it lit as your own energy will mingle in and that is not desirable. I keep the doors and windows shut and make sure you go under/behind everything in/up/down from ceiling to floor, under beds etc. every corner/closet etc. and I go around myself and spin around clockwise to clear my neg. energy. It does smell like pot though : ((. I am moving and had one big move done already and just smudged a room before the movers came and thought oh boy there are going to think I was just getting high in the bedroom -- LOL -- that is not me at all! : ) When the room is very smokey -- also make sure your smoke alarms are disabled -- had that happen a few times and scared the heck out of my poor dog --- then I open the windows put on the ceiling fan/window fan etc. to move fresh air in and take out the smoke. Anyway I have found this to be very helpful sometimes after entities have been cleared but usually when I have been negative to clear the energetic residue away. Where ever I was laying or where I was mainly at the time, I make sure I go over that really good with the smudge. If others are visiting and leave a neg. energetic residue it is great. There are suposted to be other varieties of sage that help to attract positive energies but I haven't had the time to experiment with that yet.... Just thought I'd share the things I know about although ChrisM may have a different take and a better understanding as to what can be done.
