Guest guest
Chrism, I took the liberty of going back to the earliest posts. I read Selena's experience, and those of a couple of others. Very Eastern. My experiences are Quite different. More Western/Middle Eastern, if you know what I mean. I have been to Kundalini web sites, where Westeners wrote about their Awakenings, and, so often, theirs definitely parallels mine. Why are there such differences in these experiences? In NDEs, when a person sees " Heaven " , why do the entities there always meet with their expectations? A Hindu sees Krishna, a Buddist sees Buddha, a Christian sees Jesus, etc.? Blessings! Guest guest
Hello Fenix, I'm not sure if this fits the pattern of your question or not, but once while meditating, the space where my body was became a hollow, rectangular copper crucifix in the darkness. In it was undulating water, and over the water's surface were oily images of Hindu gods, rippling over the waves in irridescent blues and purples. They flowed from the south corner up to the north, east and west, distorting like fairground mirror reflections as they went. I found it beautiful that this scenario both united belief systems in a single framework and also kept them as separate as oil on water. It reminds me of a comment by Alan Watts - " realize you are living within a two hundred percent universe " . I love that. Guest guest
Tom, How beautiful!!! The Experience - And - the way you expressed your remembrance of it. Wow ... Thank you for sending this. I am in quite a quandary at the moment. This has helped. Thanks, Tom. : ) Love and Blessings, Fenix , " etomireland " <singaporenoodles wrote: > > Hello Fenix, > I'm not sure if this fits the pattern of your question or not, but > once while meditating, the space where my body was became a hollow, > rectangular copper crucifix in the darkness. Guest guest
Hi Tom - perhaps not the same as your meditation image but I can just lose myself in this: http://www.sikhnet.com/s/GTAnimationBig ========================================================= > Hello Fenix, > I'm not sure if this fits the pattern of your question or not, but > once while meditating, the space where my body was became a hollow, > rectangular copper crucifix in the darkness. Guest guest
Beautiful, Tom! The cross, the mandala, the four directions... And I bet the heart chakra was where the crucifix originated. You must be a pretty good healer! Bottom line: All images, symbols, deities we see in meditation are only tools for us to start reaching towards something that is beyond human comprehension. It doesn't matter if the visions are Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, or Christian-based... And most of the time it's a mix of all of them anyway. Guest guest
My opinion is that we see things differently so we can better understand and identify with them; thus learning from them effectively. Does this make sense? Amanda ---- Original Message ---- mystick53 RE: Question .. Thu, 11 Oct 2007 20:14:54 -0000 >Chrism, > >I took the liberty of going back to the earliest posts. Guest guest
Fenix, RE: your statement about: " why do entities there alwasy meet with their expectation, a Hindu sees Krishna, Buddist sees Buddha, Christian sees Jesus " ... In the same sense, how come we never hear of people in China speaking about these kinds of experiences ? Is there some spirituality in this country or is there not ? The Universal Spirit is a playful spirit..IT jives with the collective consciousness of the environment. We'll never hear of people in Africa saying they've seen an apparition of the Virgin Mary there, or things of this nature, or similar apparitions in India.. I'd say Bill Gates & his foundation would become more popular than any apparitions in the coming years, when he retires as CEO of Microsoft in another year, and concentrate on his philanthropy foundations around the most depressed areas on this planet. He'll probably be like a GOD in his senior years giving money away to these people. (for a just & human cause). chancebodhi (arap_8) etomireland <singaporenoodles wrote: Hello Fenix, I'm not sure if this fits the pattern of your question or not, but once while meditating, the space where my body was became a hollow, rectangular copper crucifix in the darkness.
