" Sthiram Sukham Asanam " , he defined : - Stable Comfortable Seating. He proposed 32 Asanas. In course of time people added their own asanas and presently thousands are available. One of the oldest Yoga Institutes in India is in Santacruz, Mumbai, established by late Shri Yogendraji. I have attended one lecture by Late Shri.Yogendraji, some 36 years back, he was more than 80 years old at that time. That time there was some news paper report, that russian Medical Researchers have found out that the 'Shirshasan', if practiced can damage the heart. Shri Yogendraji commenting on this, told that 'Shirsasan' is not part of the original Yoga Asanas, but added later. He recommended 'Sarvangasan' in place of 'shirshasan'. It is preferable that people don't practice 'Shirshasan'. Regards Venugopal > Be a better Globetrotter.
