Guest guest
I don't think meat is necessary, unless your K drives you to eat it. I switched to full vegetarianism after a chat with a Hindu saint during my trip to India a few months ago. As a matter of fact, the woman told me that vegetarianism is going to take my K to the next stage. So far it has made me even more sensitive to external energies (for better or worse), but it's probably way to soon to judge. Sel
Guest guest
I really would like to try the Vegan life. But I do crave meat occationally. I crave eggs almost everyday. How would I get all my proteins in if I do go Vegan, without busting the bank on expensive alternatives? I won't do Tofu, I never liked it. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Lisa - For protein, I eat alot of beans and brown rice, sauteed in butter before steaming it; it brings out the protein in it. Eggs, too. Melissa , <pleiades69 wrote: > > I really would like to try the Vegan life. But I do crave meat occationally. I crave eggs almost everyday. Guest guest
I'm sorry; Lyme moment . . . sauteed in olive oil, not butter. Guest guest
I am not a vegan. I am just a regular vegetarian, Indian style. Milk and yogurt are still part of my diet. Lentils, chick peas, beans, and all types of nuts are a great source of proteins, and so are some grains like millet and quinoa. Guest guest
Thank you Melissa, there's a lot of prep work to make beans. Soak, rinse and rinse and rinse. Then there's the gas... eeeks. I will give it a try. I think I'm tired of meat and I want to 'clean out' my insides. ---- Melissa <mm7810 wrote: > Hi Lisa - > > For protein, I eat alot of beans and brown rice, sauteed in butter > before steaming it; it brings out the protein in it. Guest guest
Put a pinch or so of baking soda in the beans while cooking. It will take care of the gas. Guest guest
Pre-soaking the beans will also help the gas issue (bring dried beans to a boil for 5 minutes, then turn the power/fire off and soak for 1 hour... then discard the water where the beans soaked) and cook as normal. -------------- Original message ---------------------- <pleiades69 > Thank you Melissa, there's a lot of prep work to make beans.
