Guest guest
dear chrism... the tone of becky's declaration of surrender of thought, word and deed reads more like a contract of slavery rather than a student/teacher relationship commitment. i would honor the experience you've learned from as well as whatever the goddess may have to teach me on a very personal level. please comment on the 'control' aspect of this declaration. thank you, -steve f , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Katherine > Pam > Adam > Glen > Becky > Brad > Eamonn > Melissa > Anne > Leslie > Elektra > Ali > Cuneyt > Steve F. > Please read Beckys declaration of surrender thoroughly and feel if > this is a degree of surrender that you can match or be comfortable > with. Guest guest
Hi Steve and anyone else who feels surrendering to may be like slavery, Surrendering to is not slavery. It is opening to his teachings. Surrendering is not a flippant barter " I give all of myself, all my belongings and sense of control now give me the Kundalini " It is a sincere heart felt surrender. I think it has been since July 2004 I've been learning from Chrism's teachings. I haven't had any of the negative experiences I've read on the list. clarice.victoria aka B

Read the posts placed here yesterday and today about surrendering. Then tell what's in your heart, your level of surrender, your acceptance to the teachings, etc, etc... That's how it began for me. Guest guest
Chrism, I don't think that I can match the beauty of Becky's declaration. I will just write what comes from within ... I have had experiences since I was 3 years old. I believe that taking this step - Apprenticeship - is my destiny. I was called to this, how can I decline? Everything that has happened to me, throughout my life, has led me, and prepared me to take this step. During my life, I have had to " give it all up " many times. Sometimes, I have done so willingly, sometimes - not ... This time - I give it all up with a willing and eager heart. Why? Because, it has broken my heart to see the Blindness of this world. I used to be Blind, and now, I See ... I want to teach, I want to encourage, I want to help those that are called to the Path. I want to bring Light into this present Darkness. In order to accomplish that, I am willing to do - Whatever - it takes. Just name it. I surrender ... Guest guest
Chrism, After reading another's response, and pondering on your message, I feel the need to make a more fomal declaration. I, Fenix, aka Pam, humbly offer myself to you as an Apprentice. I will do what you expect of me, and I will follow you, as you guide me into greater Knowledge and Service. I do this willingly, and I will give up whatever is necessary in order to fulfill my mission in this world. I love the Goddess, and the All, and I am so very thankful for the knowledge and grace that I have already received. My greatest desire is to share this gift, this love - with all that I come in contact with. Respectfully submitted, Fenix , " Pam " <mystick53 wrote: > > Chrism, > > I don't think that I can match the beauty of Becky's declaration. Guest guest
Thank you, Chrism, and all who posted in relation to the " Apprenticeship " topic. Your words have helped me greatly. I now better understand the requirements, and see what a serious matter it is. Please accept my apologies for not responding sooner, but I've had to give the subject a great deal of consideration. To sum up my main experiences with the concept of surrender: 1) At the age of 25 yrs., whilst meditating, I had, what I believed at the time to be, a " spiritual awakening " of sorts. Shortly afterwards, I surrendered all material, emotional, mental and physical control, as required. I moved, 24/7, to an " occult group " , which I believed to be working for the benefit of others. I had a great job at the time, but I had no children, and no capital, so surrendering wasn't too difficult......But surrender I did. After a year or so, the group disbanded, due to ego issues (imho). I felt devastated. It was one of the hardest blows I've had to endure. 2) Marriage, for me, was also a matter of total surrender, based on unselfish love. 3) I have been studying martial arts for over 30 years. I have been very fortunate. My teacher was a special person, an excellent example. It was a privilege to know him. There were times when I had to (attempt to) surrender my understanding completely, in order to completely understand his technique. He died 12 years ago, aged 54. These have been some of my steps along the path. I'm currently 48 years old, and strive to be the best I can be, 'though I still have many faults. It has become apparent to me, that whatever path you tread, it will ultimately lead to kundalini. I believe the events in my life have lead me to kundalini, and this group. I have been searching for a long time. I see this as the final piece of the puzzle, and as such I can understand the need for the highest levels of trust and surrender. Letting go of that final bit of self is most difficult. I fluctuate between, feeling in a " charged state " , where I realise that all paths lead to this great path, therefore I must surrender all. Or, feeling in a " normal state " , where I realise that I'm responsible for two siblings, and it becomes impossible for me to surrender all. Being a single parent, my children are my biggest concern. Followed by a fear of not being strong enough to follow Chrism's guidance, at all times. I wouldn't wish to let anyone in this group down, in any way. So, given all of the above, I believe it would be prudent to take things slowly for now. Step back from the Apprenticeship, and develop the " Safeties " , " Tibetans " , etc. I feel I'm in the right place, there is no rush. I hope everyone understands. With Chrism's permission, I will post a photograph, and make a declaration for the Winter Solstice Shaktipat, shortly. I don't know how I'm going to do it yet, but I'm hoping to get to the seminar in March. Many thanks, once more, for presenting this opportunity. I have found a clarity, and a direction from the process. With respect, gratitude and love to all.
