Guest guest
I am with you, Melissa. How do people know for sure that their symptoms are K-related? Years ago I had a student who thought Jesus was talking to him. He started acting up and harassing a girl in our program. Once he started taking medications, he managed to rescue his job, finish his classes, and even earn decent grades. The meds didn't seem to impair him in any way--in fact, he was quite happy about feeling so much better and being finally successful at what he did. Not everybody who has mental or physical issues is experiencing a kundalini activation, and withholding treatment from them has serious ethical implications. Question is, how do you know what is what? Is there a final proof that you are in the middle of an awakening instead of a schizophrenic crisis? Science has no help to offer in this regard, and this is, unfortunately, a very subjective call. Also, I may have my own reservations regarding allopathic (conventional) medicine, but I also think that, if we demonize it, we may end up throwing out the baby with the bath water. One paper presented argues that " The Kundalini Awakening Experience " is actually a 'Controlled Psychosis'. Modern science, if asked to deal with such esoteric subjects as K, will always flounder and present some arguement like the above. Regards VG Get the freedom to save as many mails as you wish.
