From beginning to end, 'Lalitha Sahasra Namam' is about Kundalini only.

Scholarly commentaries are required to fully understand the slokas. It is

believed that by chanting regularly, by concentrating on different parts of the

body, Kundalini awakening is attained. This information, on where to

concentrate, is lost to antiquity, so says one of the scholars.

Here is a very good English book dealing with Lalitha Sahasranama written by a

scholarly medical doctor . Sanskrit original, English transliteration, and

meaning in English is given. Commentary is excellent and lucid. Also there is an

excellent introduction and preface. :

Sri Lalita Sahasranama, By. C.Subramanya Murthy. First edition published in

1962, by Bhartiya Vidhya Bhuvan, Kulapathy K.M.Munshi Marg. Mumbai - 400 007.

Dr.C.Suryanarayana Murthy (1898 - 1985).had graduated from Madras Medical

College in 1924. He was the president of the provincial branch of Indian Medical

Association in Andhra Pradesh. He was also the editor of the journal of the

Andhra Medical Association for a number of years. He was initiated into sSri

Lalita worship very early in life. He studied in depth the works and philosophy

of great scientists like Sir Arthur Eddington, Albert Einstein, Max Plank etc.

This was to know how far science has understood the secrets of the universe.and

if they are similar to the tenents of Hinduism. He is dealing with aspect in the

preface and introduction to the book, around 50 printed pages. He gives the

following books as reference material he used in writing the preface and
