Guest guest
Deb, It wasn't quite as cool as it might sound, it was an hour class once a week. They have a school that is a full time program, where you live with a bunch of other students, and I almost did that, but I got kicked out cause of that guy I talk about. And it costs around $2500 for a year. Plus, you work to sustain the farm on which the school exits. It was cool, and I did learn quite a bit, but I just don't know whether I believe they are for real or too much about money. For instance, if you missed a class one week, they wanted you to pay for that class anyway. I didn't agree with that and I didn't do it. And even if that guy WAS horrible for me, on the surface of things, he was part of my path, he helped to get me here, which is a wondrous place, and it was not their call, nor their business. And as I said before, their program was based upon other teachings you could obtain for much less money. BUT the clincher is, you have to be motivated by yourself to do the program on your own. And as I have also discussed, I am not so great in that department. But I did learn a lot. Namaste, Carol
Guest guest
Hey Carol, I gotta tell you I need to get out more. I didnt know there were places like that in MO. You know once when I was in Macon getting gas a truck full of Amish guys pulled up ...(which I thought was strange cuz stupid me thought that they would drive a horse-drawn carriage). Anyway I was so excited to see them (I live in suburb of Chicago) so different from what I'm used to that I wanted to follow them back to their place and see how they did everything. Well I thought my husband would wonder what I'm doing following a bunch of guys back to their place, so I chucked it. Oh and the same day I saw this big native american man kinda all deerskined out! Wouldnt have minded seeing his teepee (you know if I wasnt married!) Ha Well whatever that school did it was on your path to here, and we're all happy for that! Oh and you know I first felt K over 10 yrs ago, didnt know what was going on and had LOTS of fear! I kept visualizing that energy current to go down everytime it went up cuz I thought my head was going to explode. Every night for months I woke up to shaking like I was in an earthquake and thought surely I must be having seizures of some sort! Anyway I just felt like my nightly prayers of thanks and sending out love had something to do with it, so I stopped! Nice, huh? Its taken me that long to find all of you! So I know what you mean by 2 steps forward and 1 back. For me it was like a big jump back. I still do not feel the energy going up my spine, but sometimes I get that egg feeling. I'm having a lot of heat in hands and feet and other hot spots. But I like this going slow. The more I read on this list the easier it has been to conquer the fear. Sure am glad with all the fear I had of what was happening that Shakti sat still until I caught up! Have a feelin that all the fighting I was doing against it, wouldnt have been too good for me! Da! Ok Carol I'm going to happily envision you doing nothing and all good things come to you. Better watch out, I might send that Indian man to your door! Guest guest
Those may of been Mennonites, they are very close to Amish but not as restrictive. Or they may of had a non-Amish driver. I live about an hour from Amish country :-) blessings lisa ---- flowerpowers7777 <flowerpowers7777 wrote: > Hey Carol, > I gotta tell you I need to get out more. Guest guest
Carol, might this be the SOM that you attended? The location mentioned in Tulsa I have thought about going to, as it is a synchronicity thing. It's the place where I met the first wife as she was staying with a friend named Carolyn. Oh not that I would attend any classes but as a tourism thing.

Guest guest
Thanks Lisa, I'm going to read up on them! The closest I am to anything Amish is a store that sells Amish furniture. I like envisioning all those people working close to the earth, making hand made stuff. Of course I do love pottery barn also!
