Guest guest
HI everyone, I was wondering if the belief in the actual god or goddess shiva/shakti is absolutely necessary to study the Kundalini or if using them is more like a symbolic thing. I personally do not follow any gods or goddesses specifically, as that is not what feels best to me. I feel as though I would be a complete fake if I were to something in the name of or try and channel energy from such and such god and/or goddess. I hope I am making sense. I believe in a greater energy that we are all a part of so to speak. Would learning about this be the wrong choice for me if I didn't follow these gods/goddesses? Thank you! I can say that I did not actively seek this " K " activation and that I have a similar belief as you posted . I believe in one singular consciousness ,god or which ever name you would like to use . I believe that all deities such as holy spirit ,shakti , and many others are just an extension or different route that one takes to reach the ultimate destination of one singular consciousness . I have an very active awakening in my life right now and I do not place any major emphasis on the names of shakti or others that many use . This is of course my opinion and how I feel . Like you said if I was to do any other route it would be like lying to myself . Blessings to you Chris_H
Guest guest
Hi Amandala - I believe that shakti and shiva are simply different aspects of the One God; and you do not have to believe in these Gods or Goddesses if it does not suit your individual needs. God wants you to be comfortable with whatever form suits you best. Kundalini has just traditionally been described in terms of shakti and shiva, so the convention gets carried on. No, you do no you do not have to have these specific beliefs to have a full awakening; many have done it within their own belief system - even atheism - lol. Guest guest
Dear Manda (I wanna call you Manda...hee hee is that ok?) I think everyone is unique and has their own way to relate to the cosmos. However YOU choose to do it is right for YOU. All the deities are just a way for our human mind to comprehend the archetypal energies I believe. To give a name to the unnamable. To describe the undescribable. Wether these beings really exist or wether they are just ways to describe the divine, if they bring you focus and bliss, great, if they don't feel right forget it. You know whats best for you. Guest guest
Dear Amandala, All the dieties are just symbols. Late Swami Chinmayananda says that Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are just symbols representing the three aspects of God - Creation, Maintenance and dissolution. He adds, a skull and two bones are used as a symbol of danger. On high voltage transformers this symbol is pasted. Will anybody think that there are skulls and bones inside the transformaer box ? No, people know they are just symbols. Same with hinu dieties. There is only one God and he has an infinite number of names !! Guest guest
Thank you Chris, Melissa, Chrism, and Elektra for your input regarding the Kundalini w/o deities. And Elekra, you may use Manda, It is actually what most call me! When I was a baby, I had a shirt that said " Manda Bear " . Thanks again for your insight. Much appreciated, everyone!
