Guest guest
Hello Amandala, What one calls the energy that is referred to here as Kundalini is unimportant other than giving a person a direction or teaching regarding its interaction and existence in the body. One could call it what ever they wish and still many of the aspects and symptoms of what I call Kundalini will manifest. The Ancient Hindu called it Kundalini. This and along with much of the map of symptoms and experiences that they used to describe its actions and interaction in the body is why I call it the Kundalini. Often people will be given direct interaction with the Sacred Feminine and the Sacred male and other Divine personages and it is through these experiences that people will give names to those encounters with the Divine. Many have experiences with the Shakti and the Shiva. Many have experiences with the Christ and Virgin Mary. Some experience the White or green Tara's or the Buddha or a manifestation of their Guru. Many have no experiences with deities at all. Many have direct interactive and fulfilling experiences with these and other entities. After an experience of this kind a person's belief structure can be altered. The force of energy that is Kundalini is called many different names and your belief with regards to the encounters or experiences you have with in the Kundalini will determine for you the reality or not of the experience. This will drive your belief and what and how you choose to organize it for yourself. I suggest that you be open to experience what ever presents itself for you. As your reality may seem quite concrete at the moment with the exclusion of the divine from your active awareness or belief system does not mean that an experience of such magnitude cannot happen for you. It just means that at this time it isn't something that you have an experience to reference it from. To prove it to you beyond the explanations of science or contemporary acceptance. These experiences happen often with the Kundalini, these encounters with the Divine that is all around us. Some of the experiences are so deeply private and personal that those who have them are reticent to even speak of them. Some are directed not to speak of them and some do relate their experiences. Much of this goes to the individual's choice of accepting a Divine reality at all. It can also go to the person's ability to accomplish surrender or to be open to experiences that can severely shock the psychological systems. Not all are prepared for these areas. One of my first students after having received the Shaktipat came to my office one day when I had an office, and asked me what Christ looked like having never seen a picture or followed the Christian teachings. I had a picture of the Christ on the wall and pointed to it and she said that she had been visited the previous night by the Christ who came to her and stared at her from the foot of her bed. For a while. She had no idea who this was and did not feel fear. The Christ left after a while and she was curious as to who it was but was given a feeling and pursued her question with me. The other details of this encounter are private and as she is on this list and has mentioned it here before I will not go into the details and let her do that if she wishes. This person didn't follow any religion or have a belief system other than a connection to nature. Forests, ocean, wind, rain, sun, animals, etc. Yet she had this experience and it changed her. She is a different person now, and is blessed with many other tactile experiences of this nature. Same thing happens for many with Shakti who will appear often as a dancing figure of a woman in blue or purple. Or the Shiva or the Buddha many of the holy deities can be directly experienced through the Kundalini. Not saying you will or won't have the experience but I do suggest that be open to the experience so that you may have reference for it and be able to adjust yourself to embrace it if it should come your way. - , " Åmandala " <mi5anthr0pe wrote: > > HI everyone, > > I was wondering if the belief in the actual god or goddess > shiva/shakti is absolutely necessary to study the Kundalini or if > using them is more like a symbolic thing.
