Prayer for my sister please! - Poison Oak--Pamela

Hello Pamela,

My sister wasn't around it so apparently someone had stirred it up and it became

air-born. Bad, right! Can't even protect yourself from it, that is unless you do

what you suggested! I would be afraid that it would backfire on me and I would

end up with the worst case possible. I have had a few breakouts, but nothing

like her. My son did at the age of 4 years old. He went to bed with one little

whelp and woke up in a total mess! The one whelp was about the size of a pinkie

fingernail, his age at the time (4 years). He hadn't been in it either,

apparently got it from someone else stirring it up. I was told at the hospital

that the next time a whelp showed up to take him immediately to the emergency

room because as you come in contact with it the worse you get it. I had an

epipen at home for him. He is now 12 years old and hasn't come in contact with

it since, at least we don't think he has. Anyway, I never knew it could do that,

I had several times when I

was young. I used to play in the woods, never getting it and then one day I got

it, several times after that and haven't had it since. anyway, I guess it is all

in the person.

Anyway, thanks Pamela! I will pass it on to my sister and let he make the

decision. I won't do it, but she may want to or at least investigate it! In the

case of myself and my child, better to leave well enough alone right!

I know about the calamine! We keep it! She has a pain in her leg that feels like

her circulation is being cut off which is the prayer and healing part, but

prayers are good enough for us! Anyway, thank you so very much darling! I will

pass on this information to my sissy!

Love,

Katherine

Poison Oak--Chrism

Hi Katherine,

Chrism's answer is excellent for those who have the break out. But what I

do each year, and I know this will sound weird, is in the spring when you

see poison ivy first coming out I pick a new baby leaf and eat it. It can

only be a spring leaf, any other time of year this will not work. Once

having eaten the leaf for the rest of the summer I am inoculated. I can lay

down in poison ivy and not get the first break out, and have done so to the

total dismay of many people. They run around bringing people around me to

see me in the poison ivy. I don't have one bit of trouble with it. Just a

little something to think about for next year.

Namaste!

Pamela
