Guest guest
Excellent, Katherine! It is entirely possible that, in the context of the church service earlier, peer pressure kept people from responding to you as they might have done privately...as obviously happened later with these 3 people. Your testimony was unexpected and unusual and perhaps it caught them by surprise. I'm happy to hear that privately you got a better response. I trust you will not let the initial response of the congregation deter you from your path, because you ARE filled with the Holy Spirit and it is an awesome thing that should be shared! You stay strong on your path and keep doing what Spirit moves you to do! You are such a wonderful example for us all. The conference was about women, religion and freedom. I didn't go because of the fact my husband was to be out of town and not returning until yesterday (Saturday), but he ended up coming home earlier. Anyway, I didn't know anything about the conference as to what it was about until today. I was talking to one of the women that went to this conference and I made mention to her about my nonprofit and she wanted to learn more about it so I told her and she was so excited and wants to help me. She said that at the conference they talked about giving service, walking the path with someone until they can get back on their feet whether it was an emotional issue or financial matter or both. We continued to talk and I felt the need to share with her about my dream so I did. She grabbed me and gave me a Gigantic hug full of excitement and love. She said as I told here she got chill bumps all over. She said that at the conference they talked about one feeling worthy. She said that until one feels worthy enough to face Jesus they feel they can only touch the bottom back of His clothing, that only when one feels worthy enough and is filled with the Holy Spirit will they be able to face Him directly in the face. She grabbed me several times telling me how excited she was about my experience, about my dream, that it would be said that I was at a place where I felt I was worthy and was worthy enough to face Him face to face. She said that I gave her great hope and that I didn't know just how much I touched her with my story of my dream. Another one I talked to this afternoon said she was extremely proud of where I am and can see a big difference in me spiritually. Tomorrow she and her husband and my husband and I will be taking the boat out tomorrow. Another person from church just sent an email to me giving me blessings from God. So I have to say that I have touched 3 that I know of! I am happy to share that maybe they were shocked at my verbally stating aloud my being filled with the Holy Spirit. Maybe they aren't used to it. Maybe others have been feared and kept it in. I, on the other hand, want to rejoice and will rejoice and will share as long as I feel prompted to do so. And if one day I am asked to leave then I will, but until then I will continue on my mission given to me by God and I will continue to follow His wishes and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through me! I just thought I would share this new finding with all of you. Love to all of you!
