Guest guest
Hi Chrism! I have a question that I have been pondering for about a month now. I've had movement in by mid back behind the third Chakra for about a month. It seems to be more on the left side than right and spreads left and right almost to my arms. Is this the beginning of the K? Everything I've read says it starts in the tail bone. I am also struggling with how much time I should spend meditating. It seems I only get maybe 30 minutes...should I be doing 1 hour or more? I am doing the breathing still and notice more movement while doing it. There also seems to be a lot of moments of goosebumps up my spine and out my neck and head. My shirt feels like it is wet all the time on my back even though it isn't. If this is the K, I feel guilty because it has been too easy on me...not asking for trouble mind you! But the movement I have has seems to have been in this one place for so long. I also have trouble doing the compression breathing because of my nose...so I try to breathe through both nostrils when I do the breathing...at least one side gets through! I appreciate all your help Chris and I hope one day soon I will be able to help others too like you. It always hurts me to see others suffer and as a child it really hurt me...so much that I had to start looking for the good in everything and stop thinking about how much others suffer because it made me suffer so much too. I keep praying to Shakti for clarity and guidance. I also have been really working hard on surrendering. I am just now starting to remember my dreams again and the good thing is my departed father has been in many of them lately. Thanks again for your help and love Chris! I look forward to March and meeting you! Blessings my Brother! Scott ------------- Yes this is all Kundalini. No worries she is alive and activating within you. - I look forward to seeing you in march as well - Blessings! - chrism
Guest guest
Hi Scott - Pardon me for butting in . . . but I just wanted to comment on the alternate nostril breathing. Not sure if you are aware of this; one side of the nose is often clogged, and that is when flow will occur in the ida or pingala; pingala flows on the right and ida on the left (hope I've got that correct - lol). There is a time when there is a flow through both nostrils simultaneously, which only last a short while before switching clogged sides; that is when flow is through the sushumna. That is when I do my compression breathing, otherwise, it is just miserable! If this is not what you were referring to, then please disregard and hopefully can answer you better! Guest guest
Hi Melissa and Chrism, I have noticed that one side of my nostrils is blocked at times, do you know the reason for this? Is it to allow the flow from either ida or pingala and it is a good idea to interrupt this flow? Kind regards...Angelina Be a better pen pal. Text or chat with friends inside Mail. See how. Guest guest
Chrism has also given us a way to open our nostrils before doing the Compression Prayer...hold your breath beyond the point that it is comfortable to do so...you will begin to feel that sensation of panic (my diaphram begins to contract and flutter)...and then you will feel your nostrils open. At that point, you can start breathing again. Then do the Compression Prayer. Guest guest
Hi Claudia, Thank you for your reply! It is better to keep both nostrils open as much as possible and does this allow for more prana to come in and keep us balanced? Do you know if it is OK to do these exercises when we may have a cold or sinus infection? Could you please tell me purpose of the Compression Prayer? Kind regards...Angelina , Claudia <newtfoodbowl wrote: > > has also given us a way to open our nostrils before doing the Compression Prayer...hold your breath beyond the point that it is comfortable to do so...you will begin to feel that sensation of panic (my diaphram begins to contract and flutter)...and then you will feel your nostrils open. Guest guest
I trust that or others will correct me if I am wrong...my understanding is that the Compression Prayer (aka alternate nostril breathing) stimulates the release of Kundalini since there are chakras (secondary energy centers as opposed to the 7 primary energy centers that we concentrate on) just inside the nostrils...it also balances the ida and pingala since you breathe in and out of both nostrils the same number of times. I see no reason why it would not be OK to do the Compression Prayer when you have a cold or sinus infection...the key to it is breathing, so if your nostrils are congested, it may not be possible. Guest guest
Hi Claudia, Thank you for your reply! Have you ever felt the heat rising up from the base of your spine from doing these exercises? I have felt movement in my back that does not hurt, but feels strange and is mainly in my upper back but have felt nothing raising from the base of the spine and would love to. The fluttering of the organs is not as prevalent at this time and perhaps they are in shock because I am currently in Ohio where it is snowing ~ much different than the summer weather of Southern California! Kind regards...Angelina , Claudia <newtfoodbowl wrote: > > I trust that or others will correct me if I am wrong...my understanding is that the Compression Prayer (aka alternate nostril breathing) stimulates the release of Kundalini since there are chakras (secondary energy centers as opposed to the 7 primary energy centers that we concentrate on) just inside the nostrils...it also balances the ida and pingala since you breathe in and out of both nostrils the same number of times. > > I see no reason why it would not be OK to do the Compression Prayer when you have a cold or sinus infection...the key to it is breathing, so if your nostrils are congested, it may not be possible. > > Claudia > > gypsyeyes_101 <gypsyeyes_101 wrote: > Hi Claudia, > > Thank you for your reply! Guest guest
Hi Angelina, Wonderful phenomena you are having. For me, I think it would be a great idea to just enjyoy the energy wherever it is showing up in your body. If it's fluttering organs, or energy bubbles in certain areas of your body like your back. Wherever it is, is likely where the Kundalini needs to do her work. Perhaps later you will have a spinal sweep, perhaps not. I hope you keep having all sorts of great sensastions! Enjoy... That's really interesting if the Kundalini is being affected by the weather... Please post more about it if you notice anything. be well, bradly Have you ever felt the heat rising up from > the base of your spine from doing these exercises? I have seen the purple lights quite often even with my eyes open but have not seen the aura around myself with eyes closed or open and would love to. Guest guest
Hi Angelina... most the time, nothing special really in regards to meditation! When it's at bedtime, I'm in the dark and just lay there quietly for a few minutes, sometimes even with eyes open, and the colors begin to swirl around above my head. When during the day, my eyes are closed and focusing on the 3rd eye area, tongue up and finger locks, and it begins. With sending energy, I do it basically the same way as during a daytime meditation. I pull energy from the divine in through the top of my head with my breath, and then breathe it out again with the intention of sending it to the one in need... as many times as I feel necessary, usually 3 times unless I feel the need to do more. The golden light has appeared when sending energy to someone for healing, and also just when sending love... love & light ~Jen~ , " gypsyeyes_101 " <gypsyeyes_101 wrote: > > Dear Jen, > > > Angelina, I see lights in my head quite often.
