Tom's night (longish and weirdish)

It was all happening last night...

1) I had a false Near Death Experience! I don't remember what caused

it, or any preceding dream, just the thoughts that believing I was

dead gave me.

There were all the unmastered character flaws I'd left

outstanding...I was really getting somewhere but it was so early for

my life to end. This latest chapter in my life was only just

beginning - even now I was conscious of my dark blue work suit

blowing in the wind as I floated outside my childhood window, having

only spent a couple of weeks adjusting to it. This was a real blow.

I'd have to reincarnate AGAIN! Who could I be?

I saw a blue savings book in front of me. Ah. My estate was so

disorganised. Why hadn't I sorted it out? It wasn't disastrous, but

far more confusing for my relatives to pick up than it should have

been, I could have helped. Aw no, and how would we communicate now?

I'd be able to visit them of course, but oh, the disconnect...how

troubling this was. I experimented with channelling, seeing if I

could nudge pens into spelling out messages. I managed to guide an

unheld four colour biro into tracing something like my signature, the

ink changing for each word. This detail seemed so important for

emphasis and recognition, but so impractical to achieve, nothing

would come of it.

I floated outside my father's dressing room window, hovering

resignedly in Dali-esque cruciform pose. Where my skin met the

elements the vibrations were as vigorous as the sizzling of the

batter on a deep-frying fish. I tilted upwards, and looked to the

sky. And optimism caught me...

2) After lying awake pondering this for an hour, I must have dropped

off, as the next thing I was aware of was the tail end of a dream

involving a room full of K-group people. My feet were on the ground,

but I was diagonal rather than horizontal or vertical (I used to find

this a lot in dreams). With effort, I levitated myself back to a

normal standing pose. As that worked rather well, I thought I'd try

something else - I'd see if I could levitate just one inch off the

floor. Standing near Elektra, I intuitively shut my eyes and started

sweeping them left to right over and over, it seemed the only way to

keep control.

Doing this, the dream scenery vanished and I slipped into an altered

state. I didn't have a body, or a position, or a view, just an

understanding of being in the same context as the afterimages under

my eyelids. Though I couldn't really see them, I was aware of these

forming and breaking like the Aurora Borealis all around me in the

distance. Then, there was a symbol to the upper right of my vision.

It was an typographic character extruded into 3D, half way between a

chess piece and a yen symbol (this will probably get mangled):

If I'd had hands, it would have been about three of them across. It

was slightly off vertical, and rotating, and clashingly alternated

between raspberry and fluorescent yellow. And I was dimly aware of a

glowing disembodied head too...not in the same non-scene, in a

completely different locale. I wondered if it was Chrism, and

briefly saw the letters C, H and M to my left, jittering just as

illegibly as afterimages in normal vision. Then I noticed humming.

Big, big humming, louder than conversation, slightly mechanical

sounding perhaps, emanating from where the back of my head ought to

have been. My non-existent back started to arch incredibly, to a

full semi-circle, and thick, fat pulses of blue-white electricity

started arcing up against its curve. This was getting ridiculously

intense! I felt like I had a choice of some sort to make, courage

required.

Yes, go for it! And the humming was now me wailing like I was on a

rollercoaster, continuous and uninterrupted by the requirements of

lungs. I was in motion, speeding toward high and distant mauveness,

which over the course of a few minutes resolved to be a hundred foot

high tunnel. Entering this, way off I could make out somebody else's

head and shoulders, poking upsidedown out of the ceiling. As I flew

on in a gentle corkscrew approach, it turned out that he was in fact

on the ground - it was me who was the wrong way up!

Oddly, what he was embedded in was a river of blue foamy fabric, with

just a rough hole cut out for him, leaving only his chest and above

visible. He was dressed in a much lighter blue himself, with gold

braiding, like a bell boy or toy soldier, and understandably seemed

very physically unconfortable and incongrous there, as did I. He

looked extremely like Timothy Spall, the actor. I asked him his

name. " Tall C.L. " he seemed to say. " Paul? " I queried back. " I

suppose I'd better show you to the director then, " he replied.

Behind him was an incredibly frail young man, putting a paper cup

down behind a movie box office desk. My discomfort grew and I found

I had an arm, and tried to scratch my shoulder with it. It was my

arm back in bed unfortunately, and the imagery dissolved...

Unsleeping in the hours that followed, I think I worked out

the " Spall " bit. It's a mixture of Saul and Paul, he who was

transformed on the way to Damascus! I am incredibly tired now!

A dream to take action from Tom. Excellent recall! And a gifted

retelling of the dream. So much to cover with it. Suffice to say you

are doing well my friend. Keep up your " good works " and discern what

parts of this dream stick the hardest to you. -

Crazee baby, crazee,

Sounds like one hell of a journey you had Tom, I like

it.

I have always been a fan of intense dreams, so much

blue!!!

I liked your explanation of the death experience, I

would imagine it to be quite like that if you had died

in mid life and not finished all you felt you wanted

to.

Love Elektra x x x
