Guest guest
This is the true test of our surrender! It is at this point that I have found that surrender to a power greater than ourselves was needed. Whatever you concider that greater power to be or whatever name you wish to give it-it exists! It doesn't care what you call it, only that you call it. In our struggles to overcome ego and selfwill, we will develop a very special relationship with this greater power when we call it into our lives. It becomes our closest friend, one we can tell our darkest secrets to. We never have to be lonely, for it is with us always. All we have to do is invite it into own daily lives. To admit that we can't do it alone is a doorway that we must enter on this spiritual journey. Open the door! Love and Light Bob , " Anne " <annicole72 wrote: > > > ...ugghh... Guest guest
The ways I know of to subdue the ego are: A) Noticing when I'm coming from ego, admiting it to myself and then asking my God self to sttep in. B) Saying everyday that I surrender my Ego and asking God to help me. c) Talking directly to my ego and telling it it's ok to let go of control and hand the steering wheel over to higherself and God. I reassure it that all will be well. D) I humble myself by continuously questioning my motives and watching what I think of others, taking responsibility for the mirror really helps to diminish that ego. Not blaming others but taking responsibilty myself for all that is inperfect or out of balance. When you stop playing the blame game ego loses a part of it's grip. E) No matter what I'm facing I keep praying that the highest good for all transpires and surrender outcomes to Shakti/Shiva/God. Just a few methods I personally use, hope this is of some help. Guest guest
I have a few book suggestions for you. Read The Power of Now by Edgar Tolle and Soul Lessons by Sonia Choquette. I am about 3/4 of the way through Soul Lessons and I LOVE it! There is so much good material there. At the end of each lesson there is a way to gauge where you are in that particular lesson and then advice is given on how to progress. Sarita , " Anne " <annicole72 wrote: > > > ...ugghh...
