Guest guest
Elektra, et al, When I was at university (mid 1980s), one day after a session of Yoga exercises, breathing, and meditation, I found that there was a strange new sensation at the location of the third eye. On the in breath, there was a feeling of something going into the third eye. On the out breath, there was a feeling of something coming out of the third eye. The sensation was exactly matched to my breathing. It felt like a subtle or abstract energy was flowing in and out of a channel passing through the third eye. There was also a physical tingling sensation (classically known as " the crawling of an ant " ) and a non-physical heat sensation. Altogether it resulted in a high degree of mental & physical relaxation, together with a light trance state. I had time available, so the state lasted a long time (over an hour) and I let it progress towards its own completion. This was not intentional in the initial occurrences, it just happened automagically. It was only several months later that I discovered in a book that this was in fact a known exercise. Regarding recommendations for this technique, my advice is to attempt it only in a proper context and with appropriate guidance. (My expectation is that most people in this newsgroup would probably be able to try it and may get similar results to those described above.) (I live in Woking, Surrey, UK.) Bhavin. Hi Bhavin, I know this name well actually, I had a work colleage called Bhavin. I also come from England but live in Asia now. I have not tried the breathing though the 3rd eye as I don't not want to create a headache and I have heard to do this kind of meditation can do this , so no I haven't tried this. Have you tried this and do you recommend it? Nice to have you here Bhavin!!! Welcome again. Love Elektra x x x
