Guest guest
I had a dream last night. I am in a family get together. I'm a little girl. My cousins were all young kids too. There's a children's party. My cousin and I were playing on the floor. Then this beautiful young (teen age) fairy (she has colorful short wings - could be a faery/ nymph/sprite) walked towards us. She spoke to my cousin (I'm watching them). The fairy gave my cousin a gift and told her that she is going to be my cousin's fairy god mother. I felt a little jealous and sad how lucky my cousin is to have a fairy god-mother. The fairy sensed my sadness, so she walked to me. She is holding a doll with long straight black hair. She gave this doll to me as a gift. The fairy looked at me as if she understood how I felt. I felt her reassurance. Next scene, I am riding on the back seat of a moving vehicle. No one is driving. The car is moving on it's own. The right passenger door was open and there is a thief or kidnapper trying to get into my car. He was struggling to get inside, but I would not allow him to get in. He wanted to kidnap me, but I tried my best to divert the direction in which the car is heading to so that the kidnapper would be thwarted to the other side of the street. It worked! Next scene, I am in a family get together again at a banquet hall. My aunts were there. (I can't remember the rest what happened in this scene). What does this dream mean? The car scene was especially disturbing. The first scene was a bit nostalgic. Thanks for reading, Anne
Guest guest
Hi I believe that a car in most dream symbolizes yourself in a way of transition from one part of your life to another . Usually in a dream with a car if you are driving or an passenger usually relates to how you are either active or passive in you life . I believe a kidnapper usually symbolizes someone losing control of their life to another taking over . You seem to have fought back against the kidnapper and also took control of the car to do this in your dream . Maybe this was a symbolization of a internal struggle with another in your life that is trying to make your decisions for you . I just recently started reading into dream symbolization so if I'm completely wrong or way off please forgive me . Blessings Chris_H
Guest guest
Hi Anne, I think Chris Hughes' interp of the car/kidnaper part is right on target. As for the first part, when the fairy gave you the doll, it struck me that the doll sounds like you (long dark hair). I believe the fairy, who may symbolize Shakti or a higher power (magical, benificent) gave you 'yourself'...this is nice since you have been wrestling lately with your self-concept...you were jealous that your cousin was given a fairy god mother, but you were given something much better: your higher self. It's a validation of YOU, just the way you are. My thoughts, hope some of it fits for you. Love, Claudia Anne <annicole72 wrote: I had a dream last night. I am in a family get together. Guest guest
Hi Chris, Yes, this sounds right. The kidnapper must be my family/relatives/some friends who wants to control me/my life since childhood till present. Since I was too young to protect myself in the past, I am trying my best to heal old wounds and protect my inner child. I want to reunite/make peace with her. Guest guest
Hi Claudia, This interpretation (yours and Chris') both fit me perfectly. When she gave me the doll (it was an adult doll), it also struck me in the dream that this doll looked like me/reminds me of myself. Protect my self. Thank you. Guest guest
Hey Anne, perhaps this is representing the " Fear " of someone controlling your life. I think we are all in absolute control of our lives. So this just might be fear. Fear of failure if we take charge of our life totally and of the responsibility, fear of abandonment when we make decisions we wish and know we need to make. Perhaps even if we feel others are controlling us or have some grasp on us and our decisions, on some level we choose to let them for whatever reason. Be well, bradly > Hi Chris, > Yes, this sounds right. The kidnapper must be my > family/relatives/some friends who wants to control me/my life since > childhood till present.
