This one's for you..dear Lektra.

With love and laughter, from your one and only Tara.

Chocoholic Grandma

My dearest Grandma, she's so silly.

So lighthearted, and carefree.

Not so much like a regular adult, you see.

For her bright ideas, make her more of a mischief-making buddy to me.

Finding humor with her flaws, she bore a smile and the loudest laugh.

She always took the cake, that grandma..on her own behalf.

One day, she was in need..of a good old chocolate fix.

Looking in the cupboard..for a some kid of gooey mix.

It must be somewhere in here.

In desperation, she began looking..from atop the chair.

Chocolate, she said. I'm craving that lovely taste.

Oh chocolate, if you were a man..I'd forever embrace.

Silly grandma, at those words, I covered my mouth..and giggled like a loon.

Next, she climbed upon the counter..like some kind of crazed baboon.

I know it sounds silly, kids..but grandma's gotta have, her chocolate fix.

Finding only basics..dried beans, white rice..and a pair of chopsticks.

I never knew that grandmas went sugar crazy..like a kid.

Today I had the surprise of my life, at what she next did.

Flinging open the fridge door, she found a brown surprise.

Scooping it right into her mouth, her popped eyes open..wide.

What is it? What is it..grandma?

Her smile, seemed to quickly withdrawal.

Gagging and spitting..(which by the way, she taught us was rude).

As it turned out, it wasn't chocolate at all..but a plate of cat food.
