Guest guest
Dear Becky, I understand where you are coming from about the tree, people see the material aspects of the tree and the presents but forget what it symbolises. Lets think about the tree, it's evergreen, representing eternal life and the cycles of nature. We cover it in lights, well, obviously we are calling in the LIGHT of God. These symbols, even if we are not aware of it, do speak to our subconcious and I do believe they add to the spirit of Christmas. Christmas is still a HOLY-DAY without one but perhaps there is a deeper meaning behind the tree. I do not have a tree but I sure feel the spirit of Christ!
