Guest guest
It's funny all this talk of going to live in the forest, when I was a youngster, about 6 years old, I talked my school friends in to agreeing to run away and live in the forest. I told them school was wrong and we needed to go to live in nature. This is my earliest vivid memory. Our teacher came in one day to find me and caroline crying at the table, when she asked us why we were crying we sobbed " we will miss our mummies " , she asked why and we said " we are going to live in the forest " . She asked us what we would eat and we answered " we will live in wooden houses and eat the berries " . She just laughed at us and thought we were cute. I think we had the right idea..... I'll see you there everyone!!! We won't even need to eat the berries, prana will be the new food of the day! hee hee Love Elektra x x x _________ Answers - Got a question? Guest guest
Sound like a great place to live to me. When I was a kid I mostly did live off what was provided by the forest. There was a weed that I really loved to eat. I wish I some of it now. Sometimes I helped myself to the neighbor's watermelon field..hehe! Whenever I got hungry for some fish I would take my hand made cane pole and go catch me one or several from our creek and go home and cook them and share. Now those were the good old days!!!! We were considered very poor, but we never went to bed hungry. God and the land provided more than enough for all us 10 kids, our parents, and my grandma. Even enough at times to share with the neighboors. Many times in the evening we would make homemade ice cream, the kind where we all took turns turing the handle, until the ice cream formed...then we would invite all the neighbrs to come and eat ice cream and visit. Kind of reminds you of Norman Rockwall..Huh? Hehe! The good old days! Guest guest
What a beautiful picture you painted, Linda!! Reminds me of my dad and his 7 brothers and sisters growing up in Shreveport (Dad and several of his siblings were born in Baileyville, TX)...they hunted and fished for food and were very poor but full and happy! Thanks for sharing that! Love, Claudia Linda <crazycats711 wrote: Sound like a great place to live to me. When I was a kid I mostly did live off what was provided by the forest.
