Guest guest
Hi Laura Joyce (I like it!)...good to hear from you! Hmmm...tell me about the 'pain' you got from the Tibetans. I also experienced pain early in my Practice (and I'm a lot older than you, lol) and it may well be Kundalini instead of the traditional 'pain' associated with exercise. Also describe your other physical symptoms...associated with what you believe may be a headcold or flu. Excellent that you are consulting and rereading the Safeties!! And drinking lots of water and eating watermelon. That is exactly the right thing to do. We tend to forget that the Practice is multifaceted and addresses the 5 bodies: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and ego (am I remembering the 5 correctly?!). Yes, an old photo is fine! In fact, I wish I'd thought of that, LOL! I'm glad you checked in! Love, Claudia laurashomefires <laurashomefires wrote: Hello All, Thought I would drop a line to keep in touch. I may not be able to respond all the time because during day I work and at night I am kept busy with family and such. I think I need guidance though. I am out of shape and really hurt right now but on top op that I am pretty sure I have a head cold or the flu. At least that's how I feel. The first day I did the Five Tibetan Rites, too much to soon for me I am thinking. So I am doing the Warm-up Exercises and the Exercises In Preparation For Doing the Five Tibetan Rites until this pain subsides a bit. I am also trying to meditate including meditating on my Charkas to help balance them. Anyways yesterday was horrible I felt pretty bad both emotionally and physically. I took the day off work today and I am reading The Safeties again reminding me I need to drink plenty of water and eat watermelon. Rereading the Safeties is a good idea especially for me because I forget quickly. I also have joined our sister group but have a question about that. I can't seem to find a new picture of myself. I have an older one but it's about 8 years old. I still look the same only more wrinkles. Is that ok? P.S. I need to look at maybe calling myself Laura M. or something so there is no confusion since we have Laura already? I could call myself Laura Joyce (Joyce being my middle name) Yep I like that better Thanks for being here, Laura Joyce Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
