Hello,

Regarding the following description:

> Mudras use the nadis (energy-carrying nerves) and

> chakras of the hands to activate certain

> circuits within and around the body.

I would like to clarify that the Nadis are not " energy-carrying nerves " ,

since they are not in the physical body but are in the Subtle/Pranic body

(Pranamaya Kosha or Sukshma Sharira). See for example:

For further research, you can Google for the following key words: Yoga,

Nadi, Mudra, Prana, Kundalini, Kriya, Chakra, Shiva, Deva, Shakti, Devi,

Ida, Pingala, Sushumna, Granthi, Panch Kosha/Sharir, Guru.

I have been experiencing Mudras, Kriyas, and many other Yogic activities for

several years. (I started Yoga when I was 8 and have studied with Swami Dev

Murti Ji in India.)

Hello Bhavin you are correct and I thank you for your generous

corrections. Nadis are not nerves in function or expression. Nerves

are the closest description or analogy within the physical being that

I can think of to describe the nadis in the energetic being. We are

beginners here and do not have Vedic or Sanskrit terminologies to

describe many of the functions and attributes of the energetic anatomy.

Thank you for the url's and many blessings to you! - chrism
