Guest guest
Hello Group, I know we've discussed nostril issues but I can't seem to find it. I've been having strange issues with my nostrils lately. I've tried a humidifier, saline nose spray...my nostrils just feel really wierd and I keep getting a sore on the inside of each one on and off. Any input is appreciated. Thanks and love, dhyana
Guest guest
Dhyana, here is a portion of a post made about this. Hope it helps! Sarita The nadis in the nostrils can get irritated and the surrounding tissue may inflame, turn red and so forth. The nadis can get over amped and when this occurs the surrounding area will become sore and act very much like an acne condition. Its not so try to keep your fingers clear of it. Given some time it will rebalance. A person could back off of the Kundalini generative aspects of the pranayama or the compression prayers for some relief. , " novalees " <Novalees wrote: > > Hello Group, > > I know we've discussed nostril issues but I can't seem to find it. > > I've been having strange issues with my nostrils lately. Guest guest
I would not know where it is found, Dhyana, but I get that often too. In fact it is happening in my right nostril right now. It is something to do with nadas (sp) in the nose. I think that is the word. LOL! I do remember we are to try to resist touching the nose and just let it be. It is K at work. Guest guest
No worries Dhyana, This is a result of the tiny chakras or activation points inside of the lip of each nostril back about 1/8 of an inch in each nostril. Some of the breathing excersizes can overstimulate them. Back off of the breath work for a time if it gets to be too much of a distraction , " novalees " <Novalees wrote: > > Hello Group, > > I know we've discussed nostril issues

Guest guest
To clear your nostrils, hold your breath way past the time that it is comfortable to do so...you will begin to feel a bit panicky and---when I do it--- feel my diaphram begin to contract...you will want to take a breath real bad. Then you will feel your nostrils clear. Then begin breathing normally again. This may sound a bit drastic, but it works. posted this for us a few months (?) ago, and I use it when one of my nostrils is blocked, which happens occasionally. Guest guest
I clear mine a slightly different way. I learned this from the THE BUTEYKO METHOD website before they began charging for the info. This is actually a breathing method for people who have asthma and anxiety attacks, it helps in controlling and stopping the attacks. It is also a good way to open up and clear the nostrils and air passages. To start with you take a breath through your nose if you can and then let all the air out of you lungs (again thought the nose if at all possible) and hold the air out of your lungs as long as comfortable without too much straining. Then take another breath, always through the nosrtils with the mouth closed as much as possible. You may have to repeat several times before the nostril will open up clearly. People with asthma and anxiety attacks should practice this every day and try to work up to being able to hold the air 'out' of the lungs for up to 40 second. Whenever you feel an asthma or anxiety attack coming on breathing this way will stop the attack. I have not been able to hold mine out that long. It's a lot harder holding the air out than it is to holding air in. At least it is for me. http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/buteyko.html This where you can read about this breathing method, but it doesn't give the how-to instructions. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions. They are bit challenging for me because of some breathing issues I seem to be having lately, though. I will keep playing with this though, it may be a good lung exercise by itself.
