Guest guest
Hi all, I am just so confused. I am not even sure what i want now. I have this yearning inside, don't know whats it for. Its not for something physical and i cant say its spiritual. Its an hollowness, an emptiness driving me towards something i don't know. Most of the times now i am just so sad and also so frustrated. I cant meditate since the mind will not let me. I want to meditate since my heart wants me to. As a result i cant do anything. Cant set up a routine cause that seems to constrict me. Most of the times now i just want to tear myself apart cause this is not me, this society, these rules, this is just not done. All this hatred, fear, around us for nothing. Such a small life we have and we spend it thinking and acting it out of things of least importance. I have tried various ways to awaken Kundalini but doesn't seem to work. I have been a member here for sometime and a scatterfield was placed by chrism around me. I am not sure what that did or is doing. I have tried many a times to do the safeties in the hope that Kundalini will awaken but almost all the times i am unable to stick with them. Work, Life, routine, family everything eats up into the limited time i have. I am not even sure what i should be doing. Any suggestions are welcome. Guest guest
I think confusion and yearning are good things. It means you are not satisfied with the status quo, that you are gearing up for something else. I've been there and symptoms like that have always preceeded growth for me. I wish I had the answer for you. As far as meditating, what I found was a good base is to inhale saying " I am " and exhale saying " at peace " . In and out to a count of 4. This mantra helps to keep your mind sufficiently occupied so the outside thoughts melt away. When I do this, I immediately become calm and peaceful. Do you do the forgiveness, service for others? Helping others helps us grow in so many ways it would be hard to list them all. I'm sure will have some suggestions for you as well. Good luck! Guest guest
Dear Dan, The only suggestion I can offer you, which I believe will be the one Chrism will offer you, is to relax, surrender to the Kundalini, and do something for someone else. If you do not follow the Safeties, you will encounter many problems and it sounds like you are, since you are being overwhelmed by 'the way life is.' All of us here live in the same world that you do. It is frustrating, that's why we must not focus on frustration and sadness, but focus instead on surrender and inner joy. You say you can't meditate because your mind won't let you...and you can't set up a routine because that would be restrictive. has told us many times that there is a big difference between wanting and having Kundalini...and the ego is the big 'K killer'...you ego is in full control of you right now. It is telling you that you CAN'T...and you are listening. Take a deep breath and start the Safeties again. That is the only way that you are going to be able to begin to 'step out of your own way' and allow the Kundalini to rise in you. Don't focus on what you can't do, and what you can't fix in the world, and what this emptiness is inside of you, focus on the Safeties, surrendering, and service. When you begin to feel the darkness creep up on you, take a deep breath and say... God, I surrender Shakti, I surrender Kundalini, I surrender Say it with gentle self-assurance, FEEL yourself relax and let go as you say it. Keep saying it over and over till the darkness subsides. The other thing that will help tremendously: SERVICE to others. It is a sure way to move your focus away from yourself, your confusion and your sadness...and a sure way to bring you much inner joy! Go out and help someone...your neighbor...a family member....a complete stranger! Remember: the 3 S's: Safeties, Surrender, Service Many blessings and much love to you, Dan! Guest guest
Dearest Dan, relax. What comes to me to tell you is to slow down and begin to be grateful for all that comes to you. Let go of all that is frustrating you. Take a deep breath and exhale all the effort, and striving, and desiring that is pulling on you. Step out of it all for a while, until you feel a balance. Sometimes we get so full of what we want that we can miss what is already there. jmho. Love, dhyana , " Dan " <mysticaldan wrote: > > Hi all, > I am just so confused. Guest guest
I find it helps me when I read something positve and spiritual to uplift my spirit before I meditate. Also guided meditations may help, at least if you can't quiet your mind it can fill you with positive messages rather than worrying thoughts, the key is to focus on the positive messages. Maybe you could just do something that brings you joy before you meditate. Diane

Nellie McKay has recorded a great mantra (kinda long) for this one, called Dog Song. I find that making a meditation out of whatever I am doing gives me a sense of progress. This doesn't work for nagging my teenagers. But it works for solitary activities and makes me more receptive to sitting down meditation. Best wishes, Dan O. Guest guest
i would love to be able to just do the protocols chrism suggests all day every day. Trying to fit " K' into life is not easy for anyone. There are those who are getting up at 3a.m.. or 5a.m. to do the safeties and exercises chrism suggests for their individual situation. I am the first to say - " hey this is hard- i fight it all the time - yet when i get into the practice life seems easier - this path is not easy for all - some enjoy an easy time but many of us suffer in various ways - so far my suffering has been light but i expect there is more to come for me - the longing and the desiring you are experiencing is holding you back - if you just relax and let be what is you may be pleasantly surprised. Kundalini is a gift - a gift that does not come to all - you can not force the gift - if it is to be it is - as others have stated - relax - pray do the safeties and accept what is... loro 239-980-9090 Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi Dan since you asked for thoughts I will give you my take on this. lol... I can only speak from my own limited experience within the K. However my life experience is quite vast and I have risen above many things. From your writings it sounds like you are watching, listening to and or reading a lot of negative news, movies and or books. Negative energy is coming to you somehow and we have been told to watch out for this. The Safeties take only minutes to read and it is very important that we follow them to best of our ability everyday... It's funny how it works because it seems the more I read them the easier it gets to follow them. How about that eh… There is an old saying that goes " it works if you work it " I learned long ago that could mean I have to be willing to go to any length including following any suggestions given in my best interest. These suggestions are in place for a reason and that is to stop us from getting hurt. We have a choice in how we want to live. I hope you chose to pick up The Safeties Dan and spin and dance and have some fun lol… I would like to make a suggestion and that is carry the Safeties with you and read them over and over until you think you know them through and through. Even if you can read one page at a time just keep at it everyday. Before you know it they will be so engrained in your heart that you will follow them without even thinking. Try it ok… (HUG) In Love and Light Laura Joyce , " Dan " <mysticaldan wrote: > > Hi all, > I am just so confused. I am not even sure what i want now. Guest guest
A small clarification, Dan. I didn't mean to stop the Safeties, just the mental anguish and gymnastics that we go through when things don't seem to be going right. Its our thinking and outlook that can frustrate us, so a little space from it can release it and make room for a more balanced one. I am totally in agreement that commitment to the Safeties should be a top priority. I had to struggle with making time for " me, " too. And its still a balancing act with all the other spiritual priorities in my life, and all the other demands on my time. If the Intention is strong, a way will be found. I think we all go through this to some extent. And maybe Shakti even tests us in this to see how serious we are about it all. Set your face in the direction you want to go and nothing will be able to stop you. Guest guest
I went through awful confusion in the last 6 months, but didnt realise until I had my 'episode' that awoke kundalini in me. The pain of my back etc. And once I surrendered to the confusion, and stopped trying to work it all out, it all just fell into place. It didnt happen overnight, but it did happen. I have also now had trouble sleeping sometimes, which is a first for me, but I have also stopped worrying about that, and it is fine now. It is all about not trying to control the process and to trust. I was told this at the beginning, by and others here, but only now do I see and understand. What I am trying to say Dan, is just to try to go with the flow if you can. Things will untangle soon. Guest guest
I understand what you are trying to say and i agree. I think the K does test us if we are even worthy of her which is why it can lifetimes to stir her from sleep. I think i am expecting too much and the best way is to just let go and surrender completely. Forget everything and just practise my safeties and if K awakens then great else just keep doing the safeties. At best K will awaken and at worst it will prepare me for another lifetime. I think its time i just kept everything aside and prepared myself for the jump. I have done everything i am doing for many lifetimes and now it doesnt even interest me. Life looks so mundane and still. Nature looks so alive, when i compare it to my life, i almost feel dead. Om , " novalees " <Novalees wrote: > > A small clarification, Dan.
