Wondering about traumatic events

For those who have been through a traumatic event - do you often get

angry/depressed/etc before the anniversary date? I have been easily

angered and feeling depressed for no apparent reason and then my hubby

just reminded me that this Wed is the 2 year anniversary of my

accident. It suddenly clicked that is the cause of the black cloud

that has been hanging over me.

Does the body remember? Is it subconscious? Both? Any theories?

Sarita the body indeed can remember these events and it can be very

powerful. I have had triadic events take place in my life and I went

though some very intensive personal healing and have learned to

forgive weather they be people places or things. We have to forgive.

Even then we continue to remember but not in the same light.

Forgiveness of self and others are key, this can take time but we

must start. Be good to yourself at this time. Have a nice bubble bath

do something fun, prey and meditate, write about it and take an

inventory of how you feel. Ask God for help to get you though it and

let go. We are all here for you and you are loved very very much. HUG

I have forgiven the man driving the truck that hit me, I never

thought of forgiving a place or thing. I'll have to give that more

thought.

I think maybe because I was stuck in rehab for 6 weeks, away from my

daughter, etc. that this feeling settled over me. Once I realized

why the feeling was there, it lifted.

A bubble bath sounds nice...Ahhhh.
