Guest guest
Hello, The Classical Sanskrit Quote " Neti Jyoti Prakashini Neti " roughly means that Neti makes your Light-Energy Bright and Shining. Light-Energy refers to the Pranamaya Kosha or Prana Body. Classically, the Panch (Five) Kosha (Body) are Annamaya (Food) Kosha, Pranamaya (Prana) Kosha, Manomaya (Mind) Kosha, Vigyanmaya (Intellect/Knowledge) Kosha and Anandmaya (Bliss) Kosha. Here is an example of cleaning all five bodies: http://www.ssy.org/panchkosha.html Some good additional information is at: http://www.seraph.ie/Pancha%20Kosha%20Yogic%20Psychology%20v2_0.htm and http://www.yogawiz.com/yoga-therapy/the-five-sheaths.html There are at least five types of Neti Kriya: using water, milk, ghee (clarified butter), rubber string, and cotton string. I demonstrate Rubber String Neti in pictures and video at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bhavin.desai/key4.htm Sutra ( " string " ) Neti is described at many websites, for example: http://www.yoga-age.com/asanas/neti.html, http://www.jalanetipot.com/sutraneti.html, http://www.rainbowbody.net/Purity/SutraNeti.htm Neti has benefits beyond the purely physical. For example, see " Awakening of Ajna Chakra " at http://www.yoga-age.com/asanas/jala.pdf In summary, Neti is very useful in the context of Kundalini Shakti development. Bhavin.
