Dear ,

I want to acknowledge receipt of your email sent to the Office of His

Holiness the Dalai Lama dated 13 February 2008.

The CD you refer to is not connected to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in

any way. The person chanting is not His Holiness and the chant does not

appear to be Buddhist prayer. Also, the stories behind the CD, there a

few different versions, that it is His Holiness chanting at the bedside

of a sick person, are all false.

All the best,

Rinchen Dhondrub

well, thanks for being our Snopes.com. still, it;s a great thing to

listen to and we get good vibes from it. so unless we hear otherwise,

i'd say take it at face value and enjoy it for what it is!
