'Lurker' stepping into the light

I am a lurker and am finally ready to introduce myself at the urging

of my dear brother (Bill-Astronutski). My name is Lori and I have

been interested in meditation and yoga for years, although not

consistent with either practice. I have also been on a spiritual path

for some time, reading many books and asking questions like " what is

my purpose " . I pray for guidance. I try to practice honesty,

forgiveness, and taking care of my loved ones with acts of service in

order to be more `Christ-like'. (my religious orientation)

The reason I am drawn out of lurking, started after an out of body

experience back in November. I developed a strange tingling sensation

(almost feather-like) at the base of my spine. After some time, the

sensations then progressed to a stronger throbbing or pulsating type

of vibration. They now feel like someone or something is `stirring'

the base of my spine in a circular pattern. I have been practicing

the safeties and am trying not to resist. But fear pops up now and

then.

Over the past week I have had very strange symptoms, mostly intense

whole body `jerking' (for lack of a better word). I start sleeping on

my right side and then WHAM, all my muscles tighten up and flip me

over onto my back. These `jerks' are almost violent in nature. They

take my breath away and I involuntarily forcibly exhale with

an `uh'sound with each spasm/jerk. The spasms continue for approx 2

hours. The following day I am really sore in my back.

I have also experienced an extremely bright white light `flash'

behind my closed eyes. (almost like a camera flash that is too close)

This happened two times. Also I am feeling extremely `spacey' the

past few days, most notably when I am going to sleep. I feel dizzy

and like I am mildly spinning and floating….but not out of body.

So many questions…..Are these beginning signs of a Kundalini

awakening or arousal? Is this a normal progression? Should I continue

the safeties, meditating & yoga? What can I expect next? I have a

million questions. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Lori

Hi Lori! So exciting to hear from you. The list is quiet at the

moment, but I'm sure will be on soon. It sounds like you doing

so well! In regard to the Safeties, try keeping the Inner Joy in mind.

Do you have a selected memory of joy to steer to when you feel

fearful? It will help until more help comes. HUgs...and I'm so proud

of you. Sounds like you're on your way! Its a Good thing!!! Love, dhyana

I'm real proud of you, cousin Lori, for stepping into the light and speaking

up...I understand and respect your past reticence but think you've made the

right decision to get some feedback on your sensations. All of this does sound

like Kundalini to me and it is good that you are practicing the Safeties and

that you came into your activation with a gentle, loving heart and active

service to others.

It sounds like you are having quite a time with 'kriyas,' which are surely

what your spasmic posturing is! I know that will have some suggestions

for you to either smooth out that experience or help you get through it.

Everyone's awakening is different, so I can't tell you what you might expect,

but I can tell you that--if you continue to practice the Safeties--you have

nothing to be afraid of. I hope that you will find--now that you have taken a

step forward to introduce yourself and ask questions--that this is a warm and

safe haven where you can feel comfortable to interact with us more often and ask

questions to your heart's content!

Welcome to the light!

Love & blessings,

Claudia

Hello Lori,

Please be careful to not describe these symptoms to those

who do not know about it as they can misunderstand and fear for you

can be experienced by them. Very few MD's even know of the Kundalini

so be advised about going to a doctor as they will merely wish to

medicate you.

Very few priests or reverends or pastors know about the Kundalini or

about the infusion of the Holy Spirit as most of them have not had

this experience. It is rare outside of this list.

So please do not have fear or concerns about this.

Look at the website and Gleno has kindly included a list of other

symptoms. As Dhyana said allow yourself to go into the Inner Joy. Do

not expect those with whom you share day to day existence to

understand and so I do council a level of discretion.

You will reach areas of symptoms that may be so unusual as to make

you feel concerned about your health. No worries about this and

realize that these are part of the process.

Kidneys expanding and hot cold flashes, too much energy, restless

legs, gastro intestinal imbalances, any number of unusual events

including more OBE's can be experienced. Twitching and jerking of the

spine and limbs. Nostrils wanting to hyperflare, tongue feeling like

it needs to be stretched and manipulated, rapid heartbeat almost a

fluttering of the heart, the dizziness as you have been experiencing,

Genitals fluttering and many many other sensations. It all good. It

may at times make the phsical body sore as Linda is experiencing but

this is merely the transitional effects of the body going through the

many changes and coming into balance with them. - blessings Lori -

Welcome Lori! So glad you decided to join us. Your symptoms all

sound normal. The body jerking sounds like Kriyas, which can contort

you into different positions. I'm sure will confirm that for

you.

Follow the Safeties and please come to the group with any questions

and concerns rather than getting into fear. The K will amplify what

you are feeling, so fear is to be avoided if possible.

You should keep an eye on your dreams too as you may receive some K

symbols in them.

There are many of us here (myself included) that are Christian and

had concerns over that at the beginning. Dhyana or Kat would be able

to point you toward some info on Christianity and Kundalini.

Welcome and please keep asking questions. The more we all share with

one another the more all of us learn together.

Hi Lori

Welcome to this great group, as I read this message I

feel the pressure on my top chakra - it is all good.

The only fear to be afraid of is fear itself, be

guided by your intuition.

blessings and love
