Linda's Expectation Question...

Hi, Linda! I haven't talked to you for a while. I can understand what

you say. I'm awful in arguments because I can see all sides of a

situation or argument so would be a terrible debater. But in the no-

expections area, I think one CAN do things without expectation by doing

these things only as an exercise in focus or like a walking meditation.

Focus on the action itself, not what it can bring you. Doing it with

purpose/intent to fully immerse yourself in the action puts you in a

state of mediation. I have done this so know it. That is how I can do

something without expectation. And it feels better to do things without

expectation, just Being in the moment, in the movements of your body.

That is all, for what it's worth. My opinion, of course. Just thought

I'd share that. I'm sure others will have more in-depth answers to the

expectation question.

Love to you, Linda,

Valarie

Great answer, Valarie!

Linda, like Valarie has said so well, expectations can

keep one from Being in the Moment and also, in my

opinion, if one has expectations they may create a situation

for themselves in which they only receive what they

expect. If one has no expectations they open themselves

to surprise and delight.

Blessings to You,

Stag

Thanks Valarie and Stag, I have read Echart Tolle's books and

understand the " Now " while reading, but it's a different thing to

apply that concept to life. This no expectation seems to me the

opposite of the law of attraction thing where you put your wants and

desires out there for the universe to fullfilled. LOL! Kind of makes

me think of the statement, " Your damned if you do and damned if you

don't. " The " now " would be the spot between the rock and the hard

place. If only one could not be aware of the rock and the hard space

or is that one should be aware of the rock and the hard place, but

without judgement or any desire to chnage what is. :).... *sigh* to

me thay are all just play on words....mind teasers.

We are given the God given ability to judge and desire and will, but

are not suppose to participate in the doing of those with purpose.

Did God create and put us in " time " to only experience the " now " or

to experience " time " or both? What is the purpose of the illusion

for separatiness/time? Why are we here experiencing this eternal

illusions in other words? Just for the act of doing without purpose?

Well, my mind is totally blown for the day, I will let it rest.

Besides, love is the answer to every question, right? Hehe!

The purpose of time is love.

The purpose of now is love.

The purpose of separation is love.

The purpose of illusions is love.

The purpose of doing is love.

The purpose of change..you guess it, more love.

Whether you have expectations or no expectations the purpose is to

know love?

Love,

Linda
