Guest guest
Thanks Elektra, and the others who have welcomed me. I'd like to mention that I've babbled a lot in my blogs, but the stuff I say isn't necessarily true or right. It is my opinion, from my POV, and is subject to change upon further insight. Concerning Kundalini, and others here are much more qualified than I, although hopefully someday soon, with the fullness of the Kundalini experience I'll know a lot more from experience. But I'd like to mention how I have explained it to myself, through a pretty traditional paradigm. First, what is known as the Shema (The Listen UP!): " Hear O Israel, the Lord your G-d, the Lord is One. " (Deut 6:4) This is to be understood not merely as there is only one G-d as opposed to many, which is the most common teaching/interpretation, but also that G-d is whole, not fragmented, and that there is none, nothing else: For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), " I am the LORD, and there is none else. " Isaiah 45:18 Before there is anything created, that which we call G-d is all there IS (Beingness). There is no inside or outside of G-d. Creation is what we would think of as a mental action, the Universe is Mental/Mind. Second, from the traditional Western Mysteries, actually from what is called the Emerald Tablet, there is this saying: " True, without falsehood, certain and most true, that which is above is as that which is below, and that which is below is as that which is above, for the performance of the miracles of the One Thing. " In this regard it means that what is created is like the Creator. As an example, what the One Identity sees as various aspects of ItSelf, automatically manifests 'below'. We experience this as time and space, and our growth/development as a process which takes time. It is a process in the sense that it is like a baby growing in the mother's womb until it is ready to be born. One might say we live in the Feminine Aspect of G-d, or in the Subconscious mind of G-d. The Creative Life Force which is responsible for the creation of the whole Universe, the Solar System, the Earth, and all that is on it, is a huge energy which is basically the mental activity of G-d in meditation upon the only thing that there is, ItSelf. (I say IT because Gender is apparent in the created.) In the Western Mysteries Kundalini is known as Matter, Astral Light, the Serpent Power represented by the Hebrew letter Teth. We know the Matter as Solar Force. This is not a mindless force but is actually working to complete the perfect manifestation of every aspect perceived by G-d. In our life our brain has developed to the degree where we are able to perceive ourselves as separate forms. As a matter of fact it is the very limitation of our physical senses that gives us the world we see. This is merely one level of mind, but it appears to us as if it is reality, and we identify with the way things look. (In the Bible this is the 'sin', or the eating the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.) The effect of this is that we have separated ourselves from direct perception in favor of perceiving through a lens, thought/concepts. On the negative side this is the cause of all of the world problems, the fragmentation of human beings and the conflict within and without. On the positive side, this has made our individual development possible. The Creative Life Force is always working to complete what it started, the perfect manifestation of the image held in the Divine Mind. It is always active in us, and is very active in our reproductive organs (and everywhere else.) It is mostly blocked though, due to the effects of our identifying with our knowledge. This is Adam and Eve (us) kicked out of the Garden of Eden. All of the Chakras (known as planets in the Western Mysteries) have subconscious patterns associated with them. As the Life Force moves through us, it activates various patterns and we experience them subjectively in our interactions here. As we develop patterns which are more aligned with the way things actually are instead of how things look, this Force moves more strongly through us. When and if it moves through us very strongly patterns, especially sexual patterns, can be very active, but anger issues and other fruits of separation thinking can also activate, which is one of the reasons for the safety protocols as I understand them. This is the purification of our Matter talked about in Alchemy, and doesn't mean that Kundalini is 'impure', but means purity in the sense of without mixture with other stuff, also known as the Great Work. That is the Reader's Digest version, and I'm not all that sure I am making sense. But, as I am a product of the West, I have found these teachings a big help in integrating some of the Eastern teachings which actually talk about the same things.
