Guest guest
Warm-Up Exercise #1 Stand upright, tilt your head sideways towards your left shoulder and hold it for five seconds, then tilt your head towards your chest and hold it 5 seconds. ??? Should this next one be the right shoulder. Thats what I have been doing and then last night I realized it dosn't say that at all. Then tilt your head towards your left Shoulder and hold it five seconds, and lastly tilt your head backward and hold it five seconds. Return your head to a normal position. Guest guest
You do not need to do the warmups Laura Joyce. I am going to replace that site with one where I am showing how to do the Tibetans. Kindly ignore those warmups unless they call to you and do not let them be a question. It is the Tibetans that count not the warmups. The " sun salutation " an easy to do yoga routine works well as a warmup for the Tibetans if one feels they need to do one. - http://www.yogabasics.com/sequences/ClassicSunSal.html or the video http://www.howcast.com/videos/249-How-To-Do-a-Basic-Sun-Salutation Kundalini-Awakening-Systems- 1 , " laurashomefires " <laurashomefires wrote: > > Warm-Up Exercise #1 > Stand upright, tilt your head sideways towards your left shoulder and > hold it for five seconds, then tilt your head towards your chest and > hold it 5 seconds. > > ??? Guest guest
Dear Chrism, I have not had any problem doing the Tibetans, except for #4. I have substituted the alternative one for now; is that ok? My biggest problem seems to be getting some privacy to do them. I have to do them in the bedroom where the space is limited, or I get 3 or 4 cats crawling under me, if you know what I mean. :-) thomas _____ On Behalf Of chrism Monday, February 25, 2008 1:42 AM Re: Warm-Up Exercise #1Tibetan Rites Question You do not need to do the warmups Laura Joyce. Guest guest
Isn't that funny how pets are totally attracted to you whenever you do yoga , prayer, meditation , internet or making love!!! It's as if they want to join in with you. LOL I was doing my yoga on the beach one day and a beach dog trotted over and put his paw on my hand as if to hold hands and then tried to lie on top of me as I was doing the 4th excercise!!! He was quite a big dog so I was shocked to say the least!!! He was a softy. Love Elektra x x x ________ Sent from Mail. Guest guest
Thomas, I had big problems with the fourth tibetan and I did the alternate one for it for some time, but after a while, under Kat's suggestion, I would try each time to do it the right way once or twice each practice session. I still cannot do it totally correct for my arms are not long enough to give any leverage on lifting up. So I have to do it by keeping my knees bent and lifting up. I have been thinking about creating a padded platform about 3 inches in height to place my hands on. I tried doing it with a thick book on each side of me, but the book slips. I know what you mean about the cats..hehe! Whenever I do them my cat and dog are right there in the way.
