Guest guest
Self discipline post #2 All things are perfected with practice. Self discipline is no exception. I posted before that I am doing a daily schedule of the safeties. I find it difficult when I have early appts or get home late - being tired is not conducive to doing the T's or meditating. However, I find I cannot go to bed easily if I try to skip things. I am finding this is what happens when one actually is incorporating a practice as part of one's life - it becomes a required task. I am trying to find ways to be sure to get everything in on a daily basis. Being creative is necessary. One thing I find I can do is to recite my surrender mantra as I drive into town - about 25-30 minutes of driving. I have now become accustomed to doing this that if I do not I do not feel right. It has become part of my drive. The Shakti prayer I recite in many arenas. I really like this prayer. Often this and some other prayers are recited in bed at night. The practice seems daunting at first - if one could just do the practice and nothing else all would be well but most of us are not in that position so we have to find a program that works. Mine is evolving -
Guest guest
The way I discipline myself? Take time to take note of what is really important for my life for the next 1,000 years or so.... Some things won't matter tomorrow...some next week...some will never matter! Then make it a point to do the things that will most matter to my life and those around me for ...Oh...at least 100 years! :) Stephen , " " . wrote: > > Self discipline post #2 > > All things are perfected with practice.
