Guest guest
namaste I was thinking about enlightenment and reincarnation. i believe in both the buddhist and hindu paths upon reaching enlightenment you are free from reincarnation, because the desire for worldy pleasures is gone. no " me " exists to desire. but what happens when the body dies? is it like a drop going back to the ocean with all personality gone? do you in spirit fly around in astral realms hanging out with archetypes? mikael
Guest guest
Hello Mikael Life is abundant all around us, in this world and many other realms. The most commonly known are the Astral, mental, causal, etheric and soul planes. These names may very depending upon a persons belief system and are presented only as an example. These realms are just as active and full of life as our physical universe. The important thing right now is to be all that you can be and do not hinder yourself with restrictive beliefs, be open to experience life as it truly is. Where the heart and soul goes, the mind will follow. Don't let your mind do the leading. As says " no worries " , you are headed in the right direction. Guest guest
I think some aspect of personality survives. The " nature " part. The " nurture " part can be altered by experience. I have an " in-between-lives " memory, and I was still clearly " me " in that fragment. I have recognized at least a dozen people who were in that memory - people I met more than 20 years after I recovered that memory. I knew them all the moment I met them. Yet things have not all gone as I expected ... I think there is an aspect of uncertainty about just how much of our paths we'll tread in a given lifetime, and it may not always go where we expect. That's half the " fun " of it ;-) Brandi
Guest guest
The " I Am' part of our awareness is what survives the physical death. Call this " Soul " or " Spirit " or " Pure consciousness " as many people do use different words. If you want to read first hand experience of people who have died " Clinically " and came back, you may visit the site : http://www.near-death.com http://www.nderf.org. Then there is DR.Sam Parnia, a renowned medical doctor of Londson, who has carried out research for ten years and published results suggesting that the human consciousness survives physical death. http://www.horizonresearch.org Regards Venugopal Brandi Jasmine <jazztalk wrote: I think some aspect of personality survives. Guest guest
I have been out of my body before, so I know that is possible. But last July, when my heart stopped for the second time, as my wife describes it, I came out of my body while being treated (shocked, etc.) and pulled her out of hers (first time for her) and was holding her that way. We could have left then (both of us) but I remembered our daughter and basically pushed her back to her body while I returned to mine. Unfortunately, I can't remember this at all, nor anything from the first time my heart stopped and I was shocked until about 10 days later when they took me off of the drugs that were keeping me unconscious, even though the next day I was up, aware and talking. It was due to a severe case of aspiration pneumonia that developed a few days later that they drugged me. I wonder if those memories can be recovered as the Kundalini activates the various centers. I do remember light, and a wavering quality to what I could see.
