Hey BrandyK,

To decaffeinate tea, simply brew it for 30 seconds and throw it out.

Then you can steep the tea as usual. Caffeine is the first alkaloid

to be released and 99%+ comes out in the first bit of brewing.

Bon Apetite,

Peter

decaf tea bags and even found some decaf sugar free coffee that is

pretty decent if i have a craving...also bought a nice big case of

water, though! i will be sure to read the labels to check for the

corn syrups and flours as well. i have actually been eating much

healthier the past couple of months. have had a strong craving for

potatoes, mushrooms, and onions though. that is a little odd, but i

feel it is ok to give in to it. since the meditation group is no

longer being held, meditating alone is not a problem. sometimes i do

just have to lock myself in a room though to make the time....with 4

boys it is rarely quiet. i have been looking for a cd to meditate to

to help block out some of the background noise. we live by the

interstate as well and also in a neighborhood where they are currently

renovating some of the older homes...5 on this street alone so going

outside doesn't help much either. but

the older boys are off to school and before the youngest has woken up

and at night when they are all asleep so that is better than nothing.

i'm sorry...i'm rambling aren't i? lol just wanted to say thanks

for the advice and guidance.

I copped it from the fine living channel. Kate has many talents, but

cooking lore is not one. The teas she makes are Chinese herbal

medical teas and only for the stout of heart and weak of taste buds.

But they work!
