Guest guest
Yes hello Pat, I had a similar issue when I was starting a certain portion of my breathwork though I had no surgeries. There were two things I did intuitively. Here they are in order of practice. 1) I would purse my lips as if whistling and use the that position to modulate a flow of air that I was comfortable with. Over time I could narrow that openeing until I was able to breathe in very slow and at a more constricted position of the lips. This took a little practice but I was determined -lol. 2) I would breathe through both nostrils at first rather quickly as I wasnt used to the airflow and it was mildly discomforting. After a time the speed of the airflow was at a point where the inhalations were satisfied and I then could relax and begin to follow the breath into the channels that the prana would outline for me as I was doing this breathing. When we breathe it is as much a pranic event as it is an oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide gases event. These channels, when followed, will open up two channels that will go up into the forhead and can connect at the crown. For me it was a slow breath into both nostrils at the same time. One can actually feel them open up to the energetic flow. After doing this for a time I was able to easily breath through a single nostril. Start slow there is no rush get comfortable then move into the next position. - blessings Pat - chrism , " Pat " <LookinglassAussies wrote: > > Chrism, > About 9 years ago I had sinus surgery because of continual infections.
