Guest guest
One of the main challenges for somebody whose K is becoming active is to handle one's own emotions properly. Fear, anger, depression, anxiety, etc. may become particularly strong as the K starts moving through the subtle body, shaking up years and years of sedimented emotions. A regular meditation practice can help. Most importantly, it's fundamental to realize that emotions are not " us, " and there is no need for us to identify ourselves with them. Emotions are energies that can run through our system or flow away from it, and will stick to it only if we allow them to. Developing the Witness helps: 24/7 critical and yet compassionate awareness of how (and why) we react to situations the way we do. The Witness also entails the determination to forgive ourselves (and others, of course) and then move on, always trying to do better without dwelling on past mistakes.
