Hi Everyone !

It has been awhile since I last posted. I have been trying to get

caught up on things that I had put off while being ill with cancer.

I wish the Dr's would have informed me that my fingernails would fall

off as well. A few have already snapped off with a few more almost

ready to fall off too. It's hard to type with a wiggly nail hanging

around.

The GREAT NEWS is... I am now officially CANCER FREE ! YEA! The PET

scan along with the pathology report show NO signs of cancer. I will

continue to be monitored for a year by doing colonoscopies. I am

gaining weight slowly and growing my hair back . My hair is about 1/2

inch and I weight 134 lbs as of today. I do however have some not so

good news...the chemo and radiation has caused severe internal

abdmoninal scarring and damage that it will be a very long time

before my insides are healed. I will continue to be on pain meds as a

result of. Each day I get a little bit more stronger and have more

energy. I do have days of pure exhaustion. It has been a long long

period of illness that I do not wish on anyone to have to endure.

I have a new sight where CANCER is concerned now and understand how

others deal with it. I will continue to visit the cancer center

monthly for myself but for others as well for support. I had the

honor of meeting and making a few friends along the cancer path from

this clinic. I continue to talk with on a regular basis. I even met a

nice older man with the same name as me, can you believe that? Same

spelling also. He was also going thru the same kind of cancer as me

and in the same area to say the least. Denny and his wife are really

great people and so are the other friends there that I have met.

It has been a tiring, trying time for me the latter part of last

year and the few months this new year so far. I really feel like I

have missed so much. I am so Thankful and Grateful that I am now

cancer free. I am also so glad for the wonderful support, love and

comfort that this group gave to me. Thanks a million to you ALL. I am

posting to both groups since I do not know who all is in the Healing

group.

Love to you all ! Thanks for the support !

Our dearest Denny, you don't know how happy this news makes me feel! I

pray you have continued healing and all damage done by the chemo will

be corrected by your body. May your life be healthy from here on. I

know you have much to do and many good services to continue!

Bless you, friend,

Valarie
